Loa sent Jones back to Cannibal Island with Undead Crocodile to deal with Moria, while he returned to Nanohana to check on the situation.
Before he even reached the town, a familiar presence caught his attention.
He looked down. Behind the Sand Dune, his double stood waving at him.
Sensing the Magic Power drained from his double's body and the lingering disturbance from his burned Kon fragment, Loa frowned. "Did something happen?"
His double's only task had been to appear in public while Loa dealt with Crocodile, ensuring no one would suspect him. It had not been given much Magic Power, but for a skill Loa could use only after his strength had grown so dramatically, that "small" amount was still enough to handle most enemies.
Yet it had ended up in this state. Loa was curious what it had been through.
Loa used Ice Mirror to form a light-bending prism around himself, then descended straight to the ground.
A few minutes later, a powerful wave of cold erupted, turning the scorching Desert into an Ice Prison. Amid the terrifying chill, Loa's gaze remained calm, and a faint smile touched his lips.
"Moria, Doflamingo? Very good. Very good indeed!"
With everything explained, the double dropped to the ground. Magic could no longer hold its shape, and transparent ice crystals kept surfacing beneath its skin.
Magic Power and Kon both had an instinct to return home. Now that the double stood face-to-face with Loa, the power within it began to disperse, slowly seeping back into his body.
"I'll leave the rest to you. But I have to say, this skill needs work. Even if it still can't recover Magic Power, you should at least increase its capacity."
Loa smiled at his double's complaint. "Got it. This won't happen next time."
"Heh.
