Time turned back to a few hours earlier, when Cobra had finished dealing with the unrest in Godland.
In a secluded room of the Royal Palace, Cobra had dismissed the guards and attendants. He and Loa were discussing something very important.
Loa had saved his life and helped Alabasta defeat the Rebel Army. As long as Loa's request was not too unreasonable, Cobra would have granted it without question.
But...
"What? You want me to hand the Poneglyph over to the World Government?"
Loa's proposal startled Cobra so badly that he stood up and stared at him in disbelief.
Did Loa even know what he was saying?!
That was a Poneglyph!
The Nefertari Family was descended from one of the Twenty Kings who had founded the World Government, but it had long since parted ways with the Dragon People.
They did not want the World Government to find that terrifying Ancient Weapon. Once such a thing appeared, there was no telling whether the world would descend into chaos. That was why they had strictly ordered their descendants to protect the Poneglyph.
And now Loa wanted him to hand it over!
Even setting aside his ancestors' instructions, did Loa not understand what might happen if Pluton surfaced?!
Cobra stared at Loa in a daze. He wanted to refuse, but he did not know where to begin.
"I know what you're worried about, Cobra." Holding a wineglass, Loa gazed idly out the window. "But that Poneglyph only records Pluton's location. Even if someone finds it, that doesn't mean they can find Pluton."
"So there's no need to worry about what might happen if Pluton appears."
Cobra knew Loa had taken Robin away, so he was not surprised that Loa knew what the Poneglyph said. In truth, Cobra himself had never known what
