The uproar of the past few days gradually faded, and the circus grew quiet again. Everyone had settled into their new roles, and their disguises came more naturally now.
Before he knew it, Drake seemed to have grown used to this life.
Well, more or less.
His dead-eyed stare made for an excellent disguise. Even when officers of the Donquixote Family came to inspect him time and again, they could only reach the same conclusion.
He was a tyrannosaurus that had given up on life after being captured and put on display.
Today looked much like any other day, but a Flame suddenly blazed in Drake's heart.
"So we went to all this trouble, and Doflamingo isn't even in Dressrosa?!"
Seeing Drake go dark with rage, Perona's eyes darted toward the wall. She slowly began to pass through it. Then Drake grabbed his clothes and flung them high, letting the light fall on every inch of his body.
"So all those humiliating performances were for nothing, you bastards!!!"
"Ah!!! A pervert!"
"Calm down, Boss Drake!"
"Your clothes! Put your clothes back on!"
"My eyes! My eyes!!"
After the ensuing chaos, Drake put his suit back on and sat on the sofa with his arms crossed. "Damn it! We wasted all that time for nothing!"
The thought of having only this answer to give Loa when he returned made Drake's face darken.
He could already imagine what would happen. The story would spread everywhere! It might even make the papers! He had stripped naked, pretended to be a tyrannosaurus, and let people gawk at him!
Soon everyone on the seas would think he was a shameless exhibitionist. A pervert!
"Try not to take it so hard, Drake. None of us wanted this." Perona hovered cautiously beside him.
