The soldiers who had been separated from Drake had finally reached the Toy House after a grueling journey. They looked around and came to a startling realization.
"Looks like Boss Drake isn't here!"
"Damn it! How did we get here before him?!"
The Toy House was a vital facility in Dressrosa. It connected to the kingdom's vast underground trading port, and the even more important SILE Factory was there too. The moment the soldiers appeared, the Donquixote Family troops stationed there spotted them. A volley of bullets came whistling their way.
Working in perfect sync, they dragged the few Undead Soldiers who had somehow slipped into their ranks to the front to block the bullets. Then the whole group darted around a corner before they could be shot full of holes.
"What now? We can't get in!"
An Undead Soldier silently dug a bullet out of his stomach and flicked it into the opposite wall. "That freak in the middle looks like another Donquixote Family officer. Are the dozen or so of us really going to fight them?"
The undead were strong, but they couldn't use Haki. Against physical attacks, they had no choice but to take the hits with their bodies. And outside the Toy House stood rows of black cannons, with a large crowd of soldiers aiming guns their way.
The undead wouldn't mind charging in. They couldn't die anyway. But Drake's living subordinates wouldn't be so lucky. That concentrated fire would blow them to pieces.
Who would choose to be dead if they could stay alive? The dead couldn't sleep with women or enjoy good food.
And they had no idea how strong that freak in baby clothes was. If they suffered needless losses, they would only get chewed out for it.
"Actually, even if we don't
