A white-bodied, black-winged carrier pigeon shot into the sky and quickly vanished above Cloud Summit. Anyone who looked closely would have seen a glint of green in its eyes.
After a long journey, an ordinary carrier pigeon needed a lengthy rest before it could deliver another message. These undead pigeons, though, could tirelessly travel to every corner of the sea as long as no one broke their wings. More than half the credit for Loa's current intelligence network belonged to them.
Watching the pigeon fly away, Jones dusted off his hands and stood up on the back of a Sea King. Around it, pieces that looked more like cake than ship planking floated on the water.

With a low, muffled growl, the Sea King, part bull and part crocodile, churned through the water and carried Jones farther out to sea. According to the original story, Myskina Olga, the girl who had lived for 00 years, would not escape the creature's belly until two years later. Luffy and the others had encountered the Lighthouse Tree only because of that speck of Pure Gold. For now, the only way to find Pure Gold was through Jones's ability to communicate with animals.
It was, after all, a terrifying giant beast with three islands inside its belly. Wherever it swam, it was a nightmare for the local wildlife.
A few days later, on Turtle Island.
Loa pulled a slip of paper from the tube on the pigeon's leg, then handed the bird to a waiting soldier. Once the soldiers around him had dispersed, he unrolled the tightly curled paper and began to read.
Before long, Loa finished reading and curled his lip.
"Tsk. Looks like Big Mom's getting anxious. She actually dared to invite me to her Tea Party."
