Desert Serpent!
In the desert, eight enormous Poison Sand Serpents burst from the ground and lunged at Kaido. Even without the plague carried by the Desert Serpents, their barrel-thick bodies could smash an ordinary fighter to pieces!
But Kaido was no ordinary fighter. Plague or impact, he took it all head-on, because—

Standing amid the swirling green Poison Sand, Kaido spat out a mouthful of sand in disdain. The faint numbness in his mouth vanished at once.
“Your Devil Fruit Powers have fused with the Plague? I'll admit, that's a surprise! But do you think hiding like this means I can't do anything to you?!”
Their battlefield had become a green desert, a poisonous Forbidden Zone! An ordinary person wouldn't even need to fight. Simply standing there would leave them a dried-out corpse before long.
Crocodile didn't have to lift a finger. That was what the desert itself did!
And now Crocodile was hiding within it, using the terrain to avoid Kaido's frontal attacks. They had clashed head-on earlier. Kaido might not have hit as hard as Loa, but his strength was still a threat to Crocodile!
One punch had cracked his Seastone Bulletproof Vest. A second had shattered it outright and snapped his spine!
Fortunately, Crocodile was Undead now. Otherwise, those injuries alone would have left him helpless before Kaido.
Crocodile had dissolved into sand and hidden within the desert. He drew power from the Undead Greatsword to restore his damaged body.
