The voice left Loa momentarily dazed. He had heard it before, when he broke through to the Third Tier set by the twisted system Ivy had left behind.
"Loa, find me."
Back then, Loa had thought the system was the ultimate villain, and he had spent every day on edge. But after entering Between Dreams for the first time, meeting Ivy and Zaku, and learning the story behind his arrival in this world, he had dismissed that idea. He thought Ivy had left him those words.
Now, though, it seemed the one who had spoken to him during his breakthrough was not Ivy, but the other half of the Dragon Body—Poseidon!
Thud!
A massive dragon claw struck the ground. The hard stone-paved road yielded like a muddy village path after rain, taking a huge footprint with ease.
For now, Loa decided to call her Poseidon.
Poseidon looked exactly like Loa: the same size, the same scales, even the same arrangement of dragon patterns across her body.
But one obvious difference made them easy to tell apart. After Loa's Dragon Transformation, his body was made of blue ice crystals, glittering in the sunlight, clear and radiant, as holy as a god.
Poseidon, on the other hand, was a deep, dazzling black. Her body was just as crystalline, yet sunlight left no trace on it. An evil aura like an abyss surrounded her; merely standing there, she seemed capable of swallowing everything nearby.
Light twisted around her. Space and time fell into disarray. Just looking at her made Loa feel as though a heavy hammer had struck his heart.
She was the embodiment of power. Compared to him, she was like a raid boss facing a player in top-tier gear!
