"Commodore Wuli!" the Marines cried in alarm. They raised their rifles and fired at the spot where Wuli had been fighting, blanketing it with bullets.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Absalom frowned. The Marines' bullets were too weak to injure him, but they still hurt.

He abandoned his next attack on Wuli and dodged aside.

"He's gone quiet. Did we get him?" one Marine whispered.

"Don't let your guard down. He won't go down that easily."

Wuli struggled to his feet. Ignoring the blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, he searched his surroundings for any sign of the enemy.

Wuli looked over the desolate terrain, which resembled a mass grave. A thought flashed through his mind: he knew someone with an ability like this.

He called out to test his hunch. "Absalom!"

"Roar!" Absalom froze for a moment. How had Wuli guessed his identity? Wary of a bluff, he neither answered nor revealed himself.

The air seemed to ripple. The enemy's silence only made Wuli more certain.

"Be careful, all of you," Wuli warned his men. "He's a Devil Fruit User with the Paramecia Clear-Clear Fruit."

"He can make his body transparent. When he uses his ability, visible light passes through him, so you can't see him."

"He can also make people and objects touching him transparent.
