"Ahahaha! I knew that kid could do it. This old man has the better eye for talent after all." Garp burst out laughing as soon as he heard the news.
"You two had better step up."
Garp spoke to Koby and Helmeppo behind him, then took a satisfying sip of steaming strong tea.
"Yes, Vice Admiral Garp!"
Koby and Helmeppo exchanged a glance. Both saw the shock in the other's eyes.
How long had it been? Wuli had already grown strong enough to defeat Edward Weevil, a Shichibukai at the height of his fame. They had even heard that Wuli had chased former Shichibukai Gecko Moria all over the place.
So strong! So impressive! How could anyone not admire him?
Koby and Helmeppo were filled with respect.
Several Marine warships were on their way to Impel Down. Lightning flashed through the downpour, and fierce winds drove towering waves that sent the ships rising and falling.
Seated in a room aboard one of the warships were several world-famous Marine leaders: former Fleet Admiral Sengoku, known as "the Strategist"; Chief of Staff Tsuru; and Admiral Fujitora Issho, one of the Marines' three new greatest powers.
They had gathered for one purpose: to escort Doflamingo, a Shichibukai with Celestial Dragon blood!
"Another Shichibukai was defeated? By a Commodore?"
Even these prominent figures were stunned by the news. A Commodore had chased a former Shichibukai into flight and defeated a current one.
Not long ago, everyone would have called it an absurd tale. Now it had truly happened.
"The next generation is formidable."
Sengoku wore glasses, and his long beard was braided beneath a Marine cap bearing a seagull emblem.
A mass of curly hair was tucked beneath the cap. Both his hair and beard had gone completely white.
