Less than three hours after Wuli landed on Kareibari Island and faced off against a Shichibukai on Buggy Street, news had spread across the world.

Some who were close enough headed for Kareibari Island as soon as they heard, hoping to witness the standoff firsthand. They were the minority, though. Most could only wait eagerly for the outcome of the clash.

The warship known as the Red Force, which had sailed for decades, cut through the waves.

Its hull had been refitted to carry two masts. The extra mast made it much faster and increased its carrying capacity. Many people were aboard.

At the top of a mast flew a pirate flag that could make the world tremble: a white skull above two crossed swords with red hilts, with two red stripes slanting across the skull.

A figure stood on the deck. He had a well-proportioned build, red hair, and three scars over his left eye.

Short stubble lined his jaw. His left sleeve hung empty, fluttering in the wind.

He wore a white shirt, usually buttoned only halfway, and sometimes draped a long black cloak over it. Patterned white cropped pants, flip-flops, and a sword at his hip completed the look.

He felt the sea breeze and gazed toward Kareibari Island. A smile touched his face, while nostalgia and a hint of curiosity filled his eyes.

"Buggy..."

Ink-dark clouds crowded the sky, blotting out the crimson that had filled it moments before. They hung so low they seemed ready to fall, pressing down until the whole world felt silent.

A chill wind swept sharply
