Fast! Too fast!
Shiryu of the Rain's attacks came so quickly that Wuli could do nothing but dodge and block. He had no chance to catch his breath, let alone think of a way to fight back.
Even so, Wuli was repeatedly sent flying and slammed into different parts of the warship, leaving sword cuts all over his body.
Shiryu of the Rain had him completely overwhelmed. Watching Wuli struggle on, drenched in sweat and covered in wounds, Shiryu suddenly grew bored.
How was this any different from the weaklings he had slaughtered before? He had expected something from Wuli, but Wuli's performance disappointed him.
"Wuli, was it? You're a disappointment. All this dodging is no fun. You seemed so strong when you blocked that attack on the ship earlier!"
Shiryu of the Rain suddenly stopped. A thoughtful look entered his eyes, and he smiled cruelly. "Or is it because you're a Marine? Do you care so much about those weaklings that I have to attack them to draw out your real strength?"
Wuli's pupils contracted. A sense of dread swept over him as he looked at Shiryu of the Rain.
"Shiryu of the Rain, I'm your opponent. Don't drag innocent people into this." Shiryu's smile only deepened at Wuli's shout. This is bad.
Sure enough, Shiryu turned toward the Pirate Ship carrying the Civilians. Power surged through his sword, and in the blink of an eye, he unleashed three slashes in succession.
Three sword beams swept toward the Civilians with terrifying force. If that sharp Sword Aura struck the ship, it would tear it apart, and those aboard would have little chance of surviving.
The Civilians stared at the oncoming attack in terror, unable to understand why Shiryu of the Rain had suddenly turned on them.
