Jewelry Bonney's surprise vanished in a flash. She was one of the Supernovas, after all. The man before her might well have seen her wanted poster, so it was hardly strange that he knew her name.

Her impatient expression returned. "That's right, I'm Jewelry Bonney. Now answer my question, or I'll beat you up again and throw you back into the sea."

Wuli came to his senses. His head still throbbed, but he remembered forcing himself to draw on the swordsmanship seed's power and unleashing Wind's Sorrow before passing out. If Jewelry Bonney hadn't saved him, he might have drowned at sea.

"I'm a Marine..." Wuli answered instinctively when Jewelry Bonney asked his name.

"A Marine?" Wuli's voice was so quiet that Jewelry Bonney hadn't heard him clearly, but she thought she'd caught the word "Marine."

A Marine? She hated the Marines, and she had only just escaped from them.

"A pirate! I'm a pirate!" Wuli corrected himself at once, hoping to dispel her suspicions. If he admitted he was a Marine, she might kill him. Better be careful.

"A pirate?" Jewelry Bonney gave Wuli a strange look. That hadn't sounded like "pirate." She couldn't be bothered to puzzle over it, but she still eyed him suspiciously. "You're a pirate? You don't look like one. What crew are you with? And you still haven't told me your name. Got something to hide?"

"Nothing to hide. My name's Wuli." But the suspicion in Jewelry Bonney's eyes only deepened, and Wuli grew nervous. Damn. Does she know I'm a Marine?

"Ahaha, we're both from the South Blue, you know. Practically neighbors!" Wuli laughed, trying to change the subject.

"The South Blue?" At the mention of her homeland, something suddenly occurred to Jewelry Bonney.

"The South Blue! Wuli?!" Jewelry Bonney stared at him.
