Ye Chen did not make a move. No one had seen him.

Instead, he drifted down onto a stone pillar above the Main Gate, stretched out comfortably, and soon closed his eyes. He looked as though he had fallen asleep.

He could not interfere now. If he did, Lucci would resent him.

The Law Dogs had been defeated with ease. They lay sprawled across the ground, battered and shaken, staring at Lucci in terror.

Lucci was far too strong. He was not even a full member of CP9, yet he had beaten them so easily.

"Don't block my way. I want to see Chief Spandine!"

Lucci spoke coldly and headed for the main gate. He did not want to fight, but he wanted to be arrested even less.

"Oimo, Kashii, stop him!"

The Law Dogs' captain hurriedly called to the two towering giants guarding the Main Gate.

"What an arrogant little brat. Kashii, we can't disgrace Elbaf."

Oimo rose abruptly to his feet. Ye Chen turned to look and was struck by their size. The two giants stood like gods, so enormous they seemed to blot out the sky.

Giants were not unfamiliar to Ye Chen. He even felt a fondness for them. After all, the first giant he had met was Saul, back on Ohara, and Saul was his friend.

Lucci fixed his hawklike eyes on the two enormous giants, his gaze cold and sharp.

His eyes flashed. He spat on the ground in disdain, then shrugged off his black cloak and let it fall.

Lucci clenched his fists. His arms swelled visibly, his knuckles cracked, and veins bulged beneath his skin. Without slowing, he walked toward Oimo and Kashii.

Ye Chen nodded with satisfaction. Lucci never disappointed him. Pride ran to the man's bones; no matter who stood
