"Captain! Captain! Something terrible has happened!"

Zeff was showing off his formidable kicking skills, effortlessly battering the guards in the cabin, when his second-in-command, Reis, stumbled in from the Deck.

Reis's face was deathly pale. Blood streamed down his chest, and a closer look revealed a finger-sized hole in the left side of it.

He limped toward Zeff, swaying badly. When he reached him, he nearly collapsed before he could catch his breath.

"Reis, what happened? How did you get hurt?"

Zeff kicked an oncoming guard away, then hurriedly caught Reis by the arm and asked with concern.

"What a nuisance!"

Seeing the guard fly toward the dining table, Ye Chen muttered in annoyance. He sprang up and kicked the man back toward Zeff in midair.

"What?"

Zeff's eyes widened in shock, blazing with anger. Ye Chen's kick had been so brutal that the guard died before he even reached Zeff.

His body still hurtled toward Zeff like a meteor.

Zeff dodged aside. Bang! The guard slammed into the deck, which split open with a crack, leaving a gaping hole. The dead man fell straight through.

"Captain, nearly all our men are dead. Someone's slaughtering them on Deck."

Reis pointed at Ye Chen. "The one doing it is this guy's companion."

Ye Chen ignored him and went on eating as if nothing had happened. Zeff shot him a furious glare, then hurried onto the Deck.

"Help! Somebody help us!"

The Royal House nobles in the cabin rushed toward Ye Chen. Weeping, they crowded around him, and one knelt and clung to his leg. "Please, save us!"

The nobles had heard Reis clearly: Ye Chen's companion was fighting
