A blond little boy stood at the edge of a cliff on a deserted island, gazing out over the sea. His heart sank. This boy was none other than Black-Leg Sanji, one of the Straw Hat Pirates' three strongest fighters in the original story.
Sanji was born into the Vinsmoke Family, a renowned family of assassins in the North Blue Underworld. He was the third son among five children—an elder sister and four quadruplet brothers—created through modifications to the Lineage Factor by Judge, leader of the Germa 66, the legendary military force feared throughout the world.
Unlike his siblings, who had aspired to become Germa officers since childhood, Sanji had no ambition for power. Instead, he showed greater care and consideration for others than his brothers did, along with a passion for cooking.
When his mother was dying of illness, Sanji cooked a meal for her himself. A maid serving the family called it dreadful, but his mother showed no disgust. She happily praised it to his face.
Deeply moved, Sanji began honing his cooking skills whenever he had time away from training, hoping to see his mother smile more often. In the end, she succumbed to her illness. And because the family believed that royalty must never serve others, every sibling except his elder sister Reiju made him a target for bullying.
As the five siblings grew, the others displayed superhuman physiques gained from their modified Lineage Factors. Sanji alone remained as he had been at birth. The family's scientists declared him an ordinary human, leaving Judge bitterly disappointed.
To pursue his dreams of improving his cooking and finding All Blue, Sanji escaped the family's prison with Reiju's help. Judge encountered him after his escape, but made no attempt to stop
