But how could Buggy refuse to save him? Everyone was watching, and he had said himself that Ye Chen was a good friend. If he left Ye Chen to die, they would all be disappointed. With no other choice, Buggy told the ship's doctor to bandage him.
"Captain Buggy, I think we should carry him to your room."
Before Buggy could agree, the crew had already hauled the blood-soaked Ye Chen into his room.
Buggy stamped his feet in frustration and hurried after them. The moment he looked inside, his head drooped.
Those bastards had dumped Ye Chen right onto his bed, getting blood everywhere. Buggy felt sick. How am I supposed to sleep there again? And what am I going to do if he wakes up?
He was terrified Ye Chen would come after him. In front of the crew, though, Buggy had to force a smile. "That's right, my room is exactly where he belongs. Ye Chen and I are good friends. How could I abandon him when he's hurt? Boo-hoo... Ye Chen, you've got to hang in there."
But inwardly, Buggy was cursing him. It would be best if he never wakes up. He might as well die.
Of course, the very thing he feared came to pass. That night, after everyone else had gone to sleep and Buggy was alone in the room, Ye Chen woke up.
"Cough, cough, cough..."
After a bout of coughing, Ye Chen struggled to open his eyes. He had no strength left in his body, but he managed to make out Buggy standing beside the bed.
Ye Chen looked at Buggy, and Buggy looked back at him. In the blink of an eye, Ye Chen struggled upright and burst out, "Buggy, you bastard! You disloyal scumbag! I'll kill you!"
He had
