Once they had agreed on a time, Bond sauntered off. Ye Chen glanced at Lucci. "Remember, your name is Yao Xi."

"Yao Xi? Why does it sound so awful?"

Lucci snorted in displeasure. He knew Ye Chen must have learned "his" name from Bond.

After his shift ended, Ye Chen went straight to the casino aboard the Passenger Ship without a penny on him.

The ship really was lavish. It had every kind of entertainment facility: a dedicated casino, private rooms for massages and other pleasures, even a Tavern and a Ballroom. Everything had been fitted out to Prince Murray's specifications, and the Passenger Ship alone had cost no less than a billion Beli to build.

"Over here!"

Ye Chen and Lucci had barely entered the casino when Bond called out to them from across the room.

They hurried over. Ye Chen said, "You boys ready? I've got a feeling luck's on my side today. I'll win the clothes off your backs!"

"Huh? What happened to Jace's voice?"

Everyone paused. Bond quickly explained, "The idiot kicked off his blanket while having a dirty dream last night and caught a chill. Don't worry, it's Jace."

No one gave it another thought. The more openly Ye Chen carried himself, strolling around in front of everyone, the less reason they had to suspect him. Sneaking about and hiding from people would only have drawn attention.

Bringing Lucci along to mingle with the others looked risky, but that was precisely what made Ye Chen's move so clever.

It was a long voyage from Loguetown to the Holy Land. Hiding the whole way would not only bore Ye Chen, but also make them easier to expose. Posing as guards would let them protect Nami and the others more effectively, too.
