"Where are you going?"
When Kuro saw Ye Chen head straight for the Heavenly Prison, unease gripped him. He hurriedly called after him.
"To get revenge for you, of course. They dared to hurt my companion. I'm not letting this go." Ye Chen gritted his teeth.
He couldn't pick a fight with a Vice Admiral from Marine Headquarters, so Ye Chen set his sights on the Heavenly Prison instead. After what they had done to Kuro, he couldn't swallow his anger.
"Stop right there!"
Kuro grabbed Ye Chen. "You're just going to walk in? You'll give yourself away. The Marines could send reinforcements at any moment, and the prison's defenses are nothing to scoff at."
"Then what do you suggest?"
Ye Chen turned and pointed at Kuro's injuries. "If this had happened before, I might have let it go. But you're my companion now. Even if you can take it, I can't."
"Huh?"
Kuro stared at him for a moment, then snorted. "You beat me up too, if I recall."
"Heh... That was all a misunderstanding. You're not going to hold a grudge, are you? I've already put it behind me."
Ye Chen laughed awkwardly, then threw an arm around Kuro's neck as if they were old friends.
"Of course you've put it behind you. I'm the one who got beaten up."
Kuro nearly coughed up blood from sheer frustration. But Ye Chen's shameless attempt to look magnanimous left him laughing despite himself.
"Forget it. It's in the past."
Kuro knew he had joined the Grim Reaper Pirates now. There was no point in keeping score.
Then his tone changed, and a cold smile flashed across his face. "That doesn't mean I'm letting them off. We should lure them out—Bill and Poison Woman, if we can."
"Lure them out?" Ye
