"Let me see. It's just a box of Cigar and a Lighter, isn't it?"
Spandine thought nothing of it. He took the items with a dismissive look, but after examining them closely, his face darkened. "That bastard! Spandam, get over here! I'm going to kill you!"
Hearing Spandine's murderous roar, Spandam hurried over, bewildered. "Pops, what's wrong? Huh? Why do you have my Cigars?"
"You little bastard! You stupid son of mine! Why do I have your Cigars? That's what I want to ask you!"
Spandine was so furious he seemed to have lost his mind. He lunged forward and grabbed Spandam by the throat. "I'll kill you! Explain why your Cigar and Lighter were found at the site of the explosion! How many times have I told you that no flames are allowed anywhere near the ammunition storeroom? And yet you..."
As Spandine cursed, he tightened his grip on Spandam's neck. Rage had nearly driven him out of his senses.
"Cough, cough... Pops... you're going to... choke me to death."
Spandam kept coughing. His neck turned red, his face went purple, and he could barely breathe.
He struggled and shoved with all his might, but Spandine showed no sign of letting go.
"Pops, are you trying to kill me?"
Unable to break free and close to being strangled to death, Spandam reached around for something. He did not even know what he was looking for. He just wanted Spandine to let go, and having something in his hand might help.
He fumbled over his clothes, finding nothing but two comic books and a box of Cigars. Then he reached toward Spandine's waist. His fingers closed around something hard, and he yanked it out in delight.
