"Hey, errand boy! Aren't you going over there to help?"

Nami glanced at Smoker and planted her hands on her hips, her chest puffing up with indignation.

Apart from Nami, all of Ye Chen's companions had rushed onto Sang Biao's ship. Every last one of them was fighting, while Smoker stood by like an outsider.

He had long harbored a grudge against Ye Chen. He had sworn never to throw in his lot with them or become a pirate. So when Ye Chen and the others went to war with Sang Biao's crew, Smoker stayed calm. He even lit a cigar and watched the spectacle.

Smoker glanced at Nami and snorted. "You haven't gone over either. Your companions are risking their lives. Why aren't you helping?"

"Mind your own business. I have other things to do. Can't you see we've got several badly wounded people aboard?"

Nami pointed toward the cabin, her answer perfectly matter-of-fact.

Pizarro and Loka had been bandaged up, but Shiryu had struck them so hard that neither could move. Basan and Jace were old and had lost too much blood to be of any help. Even Saul had yet to recover fully. At first glance, Ye Chen had plenty of powerful fighters at his side, but few of them could be counted on.

"Horo, horo... What's all this noise? Can't a girl get any sleep? How annoying."

A woman's complaint suddenly drifted out of the cabin. Nami's eyes lit up, and her knitted brows relaxed. "How could I forget her? Perona, get out here! How can you still be asleep at a time like this? Wake up already!"

A moment later, a bleary-eyed Perona floated out of the cabin, rubbing her eyes and pouting crossly.
