"What is this...?"
When Ye Chen and his group appeared at the entrance to Auction House No. 1, the guards at the door jumped in fright. "Who are you?"
Ye Chen glanced at the two guards, then turned and took a cigar from Smoker's coat pocket. He stuck it between his lips as if it belonged to him. When he shot Smoker a look, Smoker wanted to punch him, but he held back his anger and lit the cigar.
"Out of the way. Is that how you greet your master?"
Ye Chen gave a displeased snort and strode inside. The two guards moved to stop him, but Lucci and Gin stepped in front of them, one on each side.
"Kid, do you know who our captain is? Got a death wish?"
Gin shot the guard a contemptuous glare and followed Ye Chen in.
"Who is he?"
Even after the group had swaggered inside, the two guards still had no idea who they were.
The moment they passed through the main entrance, a roar of cheers swept over them, loud enough to make their ears ache.
Ye Chen hadn't expected the place to be so lavishly decorated or so spacious. Voices filled the air, every seat was taken, and the crowd stretched as far as he could see.
The entire Auction House was designed as a vast circular building. High stands and rows of curved seats surrounded a raised platform in the center, where a Slave auction was underway.
"Buggy, is this the place?"
Ye Chen wasn't entirely sure, so he turned to ask Buggy.
Buggy nodded. "I followed them here. That Hunting Squad really was hired by this place. And that host who won't stop jabbering—that's him. He was the one who met them."
Buggy pointed at the Auction House's
