Miss Bakkin had been reveling in the roomful of treasure. When she turned and spotted Ye Chen, she was so delighted that she bounced up and down like a ball. "That head's worth 300 million Beli! Stupid son, what are you waiting for? Get him!"

Before Ye Chen could figure out what was going on, Weevil charged at him with his blade. He loomed like a mountain, his presence bearing down on Ye Chen.
Weevil was tall and powerfully built, with a terrifying presence. Every step cracked the bluestone floor beneath his feet. He might have been slow-witted, but he charged with a ferocity beyond that of any tiger or wolf.
Whoosh!
Weevil rushed up to Ye Chen and swung. His blade flashed like lightning and struck with the force of thunder, its cold edge dragging a howling wind through the air.
Ye Chen hurriedly flipped aside. He had barely cleared the spot where he had stood when a crack split the floor with a sharp snap.
The crack kept widening, and the entire hall began to shake violently, as though it might collapse at any moment.

Ye Chen roared, leaped up, and punched Weevil in the chest.
His fist cut through the air with the force of a pouncing tiger.

Weevil scratched his head. His boulder-like body had not moved an inch.
