"Watch me!"
Lucci gave a cold shout and leaped into the air. He kicked at the approaching column of water. "Rankyaku!"
Boom! A blue blade of energy shot out and struck the water column at incredible speed, splitting it in two. But in the blink of an eye, the two halves flowed back together.
Cutting the water column in half was like slicing through water with a knife: it did no real damage. It immediately returned to its original shape. This was water, not a python. A python cut in half would be dead.
"Ah! It's coming! Help! Somebody save me!" Nami cried in terror, tears streaming down her face.
In the instant Lucci attacked, the water column drew closer. Even his expression began to change.
The column was too wide for ten people to wrap their arms around. Like a massive chimney, it spun toward them at breakneck speed. A shark more than ten meters long happened to be swimming nearby. The water column swept it out of the sea and hurled it into the sky. Moments later, it had been churned to a bloody pulp, and a rain of blood fell across the waves.
Nami closed her eyes in despair. Kuina trembled all over. Just as the raging column was about to reach them, Ye Chen sprang into the air.
He had been gathering his strength all this time. The energy surging inside him like a tide had been compressed again and again, then channeled through his Eight Extraordinary Meridians into his palms.
"Seeing the Dragon in the Field!"
Ye Chen roared like thunder. As he thrust out both palms, he unleashed a Lion's Roar of astonishing power.
A combination attack performed by one person—Ye Chen was probably the only one who could pull that off.
