"The numbers on the walls are moving!"
Trapped in the Number House, Nami and Kuina were as overwhelmed as everyone else. When the numbers on all four walls began racing around, the contestants grew dizzy and cried out in fright.
After a while, the numbers on the walls suddenly stopped.
"They stopped!"
Nami patted her chest and let out a long breath. Numbers covered the entire room, making it eerie enough to leave anyone dizzy even when they stood still.
There were simply too many of them, packed across every surface. Given enough time, the sight would wear anyone down.
But as soon as the numbers stopped, a numbered floor panel sprang open. The two contestants standing on it plunged through, and bloodcurdling screams rose from below.
"It's... a trap."
Nami's eyes widened in terror. The others began shouting at the top of their lungs.
Some tried to leave through the door, but just as in Ye Chen's Murder House, a trap sprang whenever anyone approached it, punishing those who tried to escape midway.
A little later, the numbers on the walls began moving again.
Then, just like the first time, another floor panel suddenly opened.
First the walls moved, then a trap in the floor sprang. The cycle repeated every time. It seemed simple, but amid the panic, it was hard to see any connection between the two. Besides, the walls were covered in dizzying numbers that nobody wanted to look at twice.
"Oh no..."
The panel beneath Nami's feet suddenly swung open. Fortunately, Kuina was right beside her. She grabbed Nami's hand and leaped clear.
"That scared me to death!"
Nami's face had gone pale, but she had to calm herself.
She held her breath and forced herself to focus. People kept vanishing into the traps around her,
