"His Majesty hasn't come to Rain Dinners. He sent me here in the hope that you would accompany me to Alubarna, Mr. Ye Chen."

Lucci also turned a puzzled look on Bell. Bell smiled and made no attempt to hide the reason. "Crocodile is here too. He has done a great deal for this country, and His Majesty doesn't want any trouble between the two of you."

"Is that so? I never thought Crocodile would get the king involved."

Ye Chen smiled, a crafty glint flashing in his dark eyes. "Princess Vivi and I are good friends. Your king even proposed that I marry her once. You could say we're practically family."

With that, Ye Chen stepped up to Bell and, while Bell was still caught off guard, draped an arm around his neck. "I hope you'll stay out of this."
