Kuro's body swayed like a willow in the wind, rocking from side to side faster and faster. In the blink of an eye, only faint Afterimages remained. Then even those vanished, leaving nothing but the rising howl of the wind.
But this was no ordinary gale. Hidden within the storm was a deadly threat more terrifying than hell.
Suddenly, a sharp flash burst from the wind. A nearby Marine collapsed in agony, struck without warning.
A deep, bloody slash ran down his chest. Flesh gaped around the wound, exposing the stark white bone beneath.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh... More flashes followed, faster and denser. Screams rang out on every side as Kuro's storm tore through the crowd, leaving blood in its wake.
Kuro struck without mercy, and Lucci charged like a tiger descending a mountain. A single furious barrage of Finger Pistols brought down more than a hundred Marines.
When Lucci stopped, a wide empty space had formed around him.
The Marines nearby trembled, their faces pale. At the sight of blood dripping from Lucci's fingers, some vomited on the spot. A few even brought up bile.
