"Ghost Monster?"
Shus, the Redbeard Pirates' battle maniac, widened his eyes in confusion and turned to Jack. "Boss, did you get a good look at that thing just Hard?"
Jack stroked his red beard and nodded grimly. "I did. He was right. It really was one of those Ghost Monsters with no weight!"
"Zzz... zzz..."
The strange sound came again. Two figures shot out, one to the left and one to the right. In the blink of an eye, they caught up with whatever was making it.
"Zzz... zzz..."
This was a Scythe Demon carrying a scythe. He was short, about the same height as Wu Dalang, with two horns, a skull for a head, and a body that looked as though it had been set on fire. His face was hideous, and he looked like a Death God. The scythe in his hand stood taller than he did.
Realizing he had been spotted, the Scythe Demon turned and ran. Though he had two legs, he moved like a gust of wind sweeping past them.
"Ghost Hand!"
Ye Chen's expression darkened. With a roar, he leaped after the demon and caught him before he had gone a hundred meters. "What the hell are you?"
Ye Chen slammed him to the ground and held him there, his eyes sharp and his face stern.
"I'm Scythe Demon Jeka! You'd better let me go right now, or you're all dead! Horror Island will be your grave!"
Jeka thrashed violently, driving the horns on his head straight into Ye Chen's chest. Ye Chen hurriedly brought up his Golden Bell Shield to protect it.
Zzz... zzz...
For someone so light, the little fellow packed a surprising punch. His horns struck Ye Chen with a clang, throwing off a shower of dazzling sparks.
