Pinned to the ground beneath Demon Gin's foot, Raymonds glared up and roared in defiance.
The other fallen crew members followed his lead, lifting their chins and puffing out their chests as though ready to die. Not one seemed afraid. Every last one of them looked tough as nails.
"Not bad."
Ye Chen leaped out of the sea and onto the deck, sword in hand. He raised his brows and waved with a smile. "Let them all go."
"Huh?"
Raymonds froze, then looked up at Ye Chen with suspicion. "You're not messing with us, are you? Since when are you so kind?"
"You're too weak. So weak I can't even be bothered to kill you."
Ye Chen smiled faintly, deliberately letting a contemptuous sneer show on his face.
"Damn you! Even if you let me go, I'll come back for revenge. When I do, I'll grind every last one of you to dust!"
After delivering his threat, Raymonds waved to his companions and hurried back to their ship with them, tails between their legs.
Once they had sailed a good distance away, someone reminded him, "Captain, we still don't even know who they are. How are we supposed to get revenge?"
"What?"
Raymonds slapped his forehead, full of regret. "Damn it, I forgot to ask. Forget it. Who cares? They looked strong. When I become the Pirate King, I'm bound to run into people like them.
