Jace had barely turned around when Ye Chen's fist rose high in the air. Cold sweat broke out across Jace's body. He tried to dodge, but Ye Chen had already seen it coming. A cold smile touched his lips. "Too late."
Bang! Ye Chen's furious fist slammed mercilessly into Jace's head. Before Jace could even scream, his head was driven down into his torso.
"Ah!" The others were horrified to see Jace's head punched into his torso. Kuromarimo had just charged toward Ye Chen, but he slammed on the brakes. His feet stopped short, yet his momentum kept carrying him toward Ye Chen.
When he saw Ye Chen narrow his eyes and aim a smoking finger at him, Kuromarimo hurriedly shook his head, as if to say, Look, I've stopped! My body just won't listen!
Pfft! Pfft!
Ye Chen showed him no mercy. With a flick of his finger, a streak of white light shot toward Kuromarimo. It flashed like lightning, too fast to dodge, and struck him. Then came another. Ye Chen stood at ease, sending streak after streak into Kuromarimo. By the time Kuromarimo's legs finally stopped, his body was riddled with bloody holes.
Jace lay on the ground, struggling desperately. Ye Chen kicked him in the neck, and his head finally popped back out of his torso.
The other guards were too frightened to advance or retreat. Ye Chen plunged into their ranks, punching, kicking, weaving and darting between them. Moments later, they were all sprawled on the ground, howling as if their parents had died.

Wapol sucked in a startled breath and turned to run. Ye Chen did not chase him. Instead, he walked up to Jace and Kuromarimo, glared at them, and tossed a Heart-Eating Gu onto each of them.
