Blackbeard held the villagers hostage to threaten Ye Chen. Ye Chen curled his lip and sighed helplessly. "You really are despicable."

Blackbeard had no choice. Without the villagers, he was no match for Ye Chen. Ye Chen's movements were unpredictable, and his Lightness Skill made Blackbeard's life miserable. Worse, Ye Chen fought relentlessly and refused to let anything go. Blackbeard had only one thought: leave Drum Island at once.

If Ye Chen pinned him down until his companions arrived, Blackbeard might not be able to leave at all.

"You forced me to do this."

Blackbeard gritted his teeth and clenched his fists. "I mean it. Follow me again, and I'll start killing."

Ye Chen stopped and snorted. "Get lost. Disappear from my sight."

"You... Fine. Just you wait."

Never in his life had Blackbeard been humiliated like this. Murder flashed in his eyes; he wanted to tear Ye Chen to pieces. In the end, he could only force down his anger. He gave a cold snort and turned away.

Ye Chen did not follow. When Blackbeard reached the shore, he looked back with a vicious glare, then leaped onto the battered boat he had arrived in.

But shortly after Blackbeard left, Ye Chen reached the shore. The boat was already far out at sea. Blackbeard had never imagined Ye Chen would come after him again.

Ye Chen sprang into the air and leaped straight toward the sea. Blackbeard snorted. "What, are you going to swim after me? Zehahaha... Gah—"

Hard managed only a few laughs before Blackbeard's smile froze. He stared in shock. "How is that possible?"

Ye Chen came racing over the Sea Surface, his feet barely touching it. He ran across the water as though it were solid ground, closing the distance in the blink of an eye.
