Enel rose to his feet. Conis, standing nearby, felt a wave of relief. She had been worried about Ye Chen and the others.
Enel seemed unable to sit still any longer. Three of his four priests had fallen.
Ohm had been defeated by Ye Chen!
Nirvana had been beaten with ease by Rob Lucci!
Shura had lost to Warrior Wyper!
Yama, captain of God's Army, had been easily defeated by the Ghost Princess, Perona!
Many of God's Army had been killed or wounded as well. Things had strayed far from what Enel had expected. By his reckoning, only five people should still be standing after the trials!
Even so, Enel was in no hurry to act. Then another thought occurred to him. I'm a god. No matter how many pass the trials, I decide the outcome. Whoever I want to fall will fall. The will of a god cannot be defied.
Enel's arrogance was boundless. Even if eight people made it through the trials, he only had to lift a finger and kill three of them. Then there would still be five!
The Ball Trial!
Kuro and Stone stumbled into it by accident. The moment they entered, they stopped short at the countless spheres floating before them.
Snow-white spheres drifted everywhere overhead, as though made of clouds. They floated like enormous snowflakes dancing through the sky, a beautiful sight in its own way. Kuro frowned and gave a cold smile. "I doubt they're just here to look pretty."
"Huh?"
Stone snorted and leaped up. "They're just round clouds. What's so dangerous about them?"
As he spoke, he reached out and touched one.
