Kizaru flashed forward in a burst of blinding golden light. When he reappeared, he was right in front of Ye Chen.
"Ye Chen, you've really made a mess of things!" Kizaru said with a smile, raising his leg.
Ye Chen slashed at him without mercy. "Save your breath, Kizaru. Don't think I'm afraid of you!"
At this point, Ye Chen wouldn't back down from anyone. The way things stood, there was nowhere left to retreat.
Light-Speed Kick!
Kizaru didn't look serious, but his kick sent Ye Chen's insides churning and forced him back several steps.
The moment Ye Chen landed, Kizaru pointed a finger at him. A laser shot out with a hiss, streaking toward him like a meteor. Ye Chen threw himself aside and, even as he stumbled, swung his sword back, sending a blade of energy at Kizaru.
Ama no Murakumo Sword!
The incoming slash was blocked by the Heavenly Cloud Sword Kizaru conjured with his powers. Ye Chen had only just steadied himself when a blinding golden flash suddenly appeared before his eyes. Kizaru seemed to have sprung out of the ground.
He wielded the Glint-Glint Fruit's power and was one of the World Government's strongest fighters. His terrifying speed and overwhelming strength were enough to drive anyone to despair.
They hadn't fought long before Kizaru's sword struck Ye Chen. Blood sprayed out, soon staining the front of his clothes red.
"Dear me... That looks serious," Kizaru said with feigned concern. "Ye Chen, you were far too careless!"
Desert Spada!
The words had barely left Kizaru's mouth when a gale rose behind him. A crescent-shaped Sand Blade slashed mercilessly at his back. At the same time, Ace drove a fist at him from the side. "Fire Fist!"
Whether Kizaru meant to let it happen or simply couldn't
