"This..."
The Marines on the scene were badly shaken, and even Magellan, in the Fourth Level surveillance room, could no longer sit still.
The sight left him dumbstruck. In moments, yellow sand had surged a hundred fathoms into the air from the third floor. It swirled so thickly it nearly blotted out the sky, then crashed down like a towering wave. Groups of Marines vanished beneath it. The force was devastating; hundreds were killed or wounded in that single strike.
Magellan rushed out of his office. A thunderous rumble sounded overhead. If the floor of Starvation Hell kept taking this kind of punishment, it would eventually come crashing down too. Anxious and furious, Magellan clenched his fists and breathed hard through gritted teeth. Within moments, purple-blue poison gas enveloped him. Several guards who ventured too close began coughing and backed away in terror, afraid they would be poisoned to death.
Magellan wanted to lead his men upstairs at once, but War Wolf still had not moved. It seemed War Wolf had chosen the Fourth Level as the site of the final battle against Ye Chen's group.
As the sand slowly settled, Chaton swept his gaze across the area. His eyes reddened with rage. Of the several thousand Marines present, hundreds had been killed or wounded in an instant. The losses tore at his heart.
He might usually act like an overgrown child, loafing around without a care in the world, but he was not so cold-blooded that he could ignore his subordinates' deaths.
"Ye Chen, you've gone too far."
Chaton tore off his cloak, revealing powerful muscles beneath his short frame. He cut an imposing figure, and his fists had darkened to a purplish black, as though black smoke were billowing from them.
Ye Chen raised an eyebrow and sneered.
