Before they had even docked at Dressrosa, Ye Chen sensed something unusual. He listened closely for a moment and caught the unmistakable sounds of a fierce battle.
After they landed, he looked down the street. People were rushing home in a panic, fear written across every face. Quite a few toys were mixed into the crowd. Ye Chen turned to Sugar. "Don't tell me this is your handiwork?"
He already knew the answer. Who else could so easily turn people into toys of every adorable shape and size?
Perona's eyes lit up, and she giggled. "I wish you could make some fluffy toys! Make me a great big Kumashi!"
Sugar picked up a grape with her delicate fingers and popped it into her mouth. She nodded. "Yep. I made them all for Doflamingo. Should I turn them back now?"
Now that she had joined the Grim Reaper Pirates, Sugar wanted to put her past behind her for good. But whenever she thought of Doflamingo abandoning them and fleeing alone, her chest tightened.
Ye Chen nodded. "Go ahead."
Sugar hopped lightly onto the shore and slapped her little hand against the ground. Something like snowflakes rose from her fingertips into the sky. More and more appeared, drifting in every direction. Wherever there were toys, the flakes found them. In moments, the nearest street descended into even greater chaos as every toy underwent an astonishing transformation.
Some turned into tigers, some into rhinoceroses, some into Marines, and others into pirates. It was like a magic show unfolding before their eyes.
Ye Chen had no interest in the chaos on the street. With Monet leading the way, the group headed straight for the King's Plateau.
