Armament Haki protected Shiryu of the Rain, but the dagger had already pierced him. His Haki had kept it from reaching his heart, yet the wound was still more than enough to make him suffer.
Shiryu of the Rain did not make a sound. Cruel as he was, a fiend who killed without blinking, he was undeniably tough.
"You've made me angry!" Shiryu of the Rain raised Nidai Kitetsu and drove it into Lightman's chest. Still unsatisfied, he stabbed him again and again.

Trafalgar Law appeared out of nowhere behind Shiryu of the Rain, as silent as a ghost. Shiryu had no warning.
Trafalgar Law struck without hesitation. Ghost Cry flashed coldly as he thrust it toward Shiryu's heart from behind.
"Die!"
Shiryu of the Rain was focused on Lightman and took the stab squarely in the back. Fortunately for him, his Armament Haki was still protecting him, and Trafalgar Law's blade failed to pierce his heart.
Shiryu's brow tightened in pain. Fury erupted inside him like a volcano. Anyone stabbed twice in succession would have been beside himself.
He turned and saw Trafalgar Law. His anger flared, and he slashed at him without a word.
Trafalgar Law smiled faintly. Just as the blade was about to hit, he vanished, leaving a wooden post in his place. Shiryu of the Rain was so furious he nearly spat blood.
Before Shiryu could turn, Trafalgar Law had circled behind him. Ghost Cry flashed as he thrust it forward. Shiryu located him by sound, spun, and slashed backward.
