King, carried back by the ship's doctor, insisted on talking to Queen. She walked over impatiently.

She had once thought King was impressive, a tough guy with a fearsome reputation. Apart from Lord Kaido, few commanded as much respect. Though Queen had never accepted his confession, she hadn't particularly disliked him, either.

But now King was covered in blood and had been beaten senseless by Ye Chen. He could barely speak, his ribs were broken, and even the front teeth he had been so proud of were gone. He lay on the ground like a dead dog, with none of his former swagger left. One glance was enough to make Queen sick of him.

She gave a cold snort, turned away, and watched Kaido's battle with Ye Chen.

King's heart nearly broke. "I'm in this state, and you're not worried at all? Don't tell me you've really fallen for Ye Chen."

"What does that have to do with you?" Queen couldn't be bothered to explain. The more King hounded her, the more he irritated her.

King gasped and coughed up blood. Angry and hurt, he suddenly burst into tears.

The others were stunned. Whatever else might be said, King was one of the renowned All-Stars, yet here he was, crying his heart out.

The ship's doctor didn't know what to do. His hand hung in the air, bandage in its grip. "Lord Tiger King, your injuries need attention. Getting this worked up will only make your wounds worse."
