When Ye Chen learned that Ace had run into Crocodile, he was a little surprised. "No wonder you didn't make it here in time. Crocodile held you up."
Ace nodded. "Don't underestimate Crocodile. He's very strong now, and he's gained some powerful allies. A few of them left a deep impression on me."
Ace named four people. The first was Mr. 5, the man who could cause explosions. He had developed his ability further: even the air he touched could explode. Many of Ace's crewmates had fallen victim to him.
Then there was Mr. 5's former partner, Miss Valentine. Despite her young age, her ability had awakened. Not only could she change her own weight at will, she could change the weight of anything she touched. She had sent several of Ace's ships into the sky that way, then let them come crashing down.
The other two were a little girl who mixed colors and a terrifyingly strong hippo monster.
The first three were much like Perona. Their abilities had little effect against powerful opponents, but against weaker fighters, they were devastating.
With a light touch, Miss Valentine could send a great ship flying into the sky. How could that not be frightening?
In a large-scale battle, she would be especially destructive.
Monet said doubtfully, "That woman's ability sounds a lot like Ye Chen's. They can both send things flying."
Kuro shook his head. "Not quite. They can both make objects fly, but that woman changes their weight. She makes them lighter before they rise. Ye Chen keeps them at their original weight."
