After saying goodbye to Rayleigh and Shakky, Ye Chen wandered around Sabaody. Since he had decided to become a pirate, he first needed a ship.
He planned to go to the East Blue. It was the weakest sea, so he figured he could make a name for himself there fastest. But after searching the harbor for ages, he still hadn't found a ship headed that way.
Near dusk, a Warship sailed in. The moment it docked, a burly, middle-aged Marine officer called out to the men beside him, "Don't stand around! Get onto the island and buy some provisions. It's a long voyage to the East Blue, so stock up!"
"Vice Admiral Garp, we still have half a hold full of food. Shouldn't that be enough?"
One Marine had barely finished asking when Garp shot him a cold glare. "You think that's enough? Maybe if none of you eat!"
"What?"
The Marine stared in disbelief. Did that mean half a hold of food would feed Vice Admiral Garp alone? His appetite was unbelievable.
"Hey, kid, you're new, aren't you? Vice Admiral Garp eats a lot. He can put away over a hundred pounds of meat and vegetables in one meal. Unless you want to go hungry halfway there, get onto the island and buy more food."
An adjutant in a gray Suit gave the questioning Marine a stern order.
"Yes, Rear Admiral Bogard!"
Stocking up on food? Going to the East Blue?
Ye Chen's eyes shifted, and a pleased smile spread across his face.
While the Marines gathered provisions, Ye Chen used the Shrinking Bone Technique to slip into a crate. The Marines carried it into the hold, and two hours later, Garp's Warship finally left Sabaody.
