"You still want to eat?"
Kozuki Oden practically forced the words through clenched teeth.
His eyes blazed as he glared at Ye Chen like a mortal enemy. "Do you know how many more of my people died while you were sleeping? I told you the secret, but you haven't done a thing. All you've done is eat and sleep. Are you trying to humiliate me?"
Oden was so agitated he looked ready to strangle Ye Chen with his bare hands.
Ye Chen shook his head and smiled. "I hope Tokugawa thinks exactly the way you do."
Oden stared at him. "What does that mean? I have no idea what you're talking about!"
"Heh..."
Ye Chen waved a hand. "Get the food ready. You don't expect me to go kill someone on an empty stomach, do you?"
"Kill someone?"
Oden was thoroughly confused. He couldn't follow Ye Chen's thinking at all.
Ye Chen smiled. "You haven't forgotten what you asked me to do already, have you?"
Realization dawned on Oden, and his furrowed brow relaxed. "All right. I'll have the food prepared at once!"
Before long, Ye Chen and his companions had eaten their fill. Everything was ready, and an afternoon's rest had left them refreshed. Oden hadn't been able to make sense of them before, but now he finally understood.
At eight that evening, Ye Chen and the others appeared silently outside Tokugawa's palace. Ye Chen left the rest nearby to provide support, then slipped into the palace with Trafalgar Law.

A transparent dome spread rapidly beneath the cover of darkness. The two men flickered past the heavily guarded outer wall without effort. The dome moved so quickly and lingered so briefly that the guards inside noticed nothing. Soon they had passed through more than a dozen rooms. Finding
