Within a gloomy, ash-gray space, an ordinary hard stone was now glowing with rare golden light. Yet upon closer inspection, it was not a stone at all, but a wooden Frog wedged within the cracks.
The Frog was not large, only half a palm in size. Yet its lower belly seemed to have been completely ignited by golden light, strands of golden energy slowly spreading through its neural network and throughout its body.
Within that sacred golden radiance, a transparent energy abruptly appeared.
It was merely a single point, compressed like the head of a living creature. It throbbed, throbbed, throbbed. As the pulsations intensified, that transparent energy began to spread, gradually taking on the form a soul ought to have.
Yet no new consciousness emerged within this soul. Like spores that had only just gathered together, it slowly sprouted tiny, wondrous runes. These runes began to slowly rotate in a parallel spiral structure.
Time passed. No one knew how long this circulation of the soul continued. At last, a miniature spiral structure appeared.
Then it began to split.
No one knew how long this splitting lasted either. All the spirals formed an even larger transparent spiral structure, barely resembling a soul.
Within the soul, wisps of cotton-like energy were spun out like silkworm thread. That energy tightly wrapped around the soul's surface, becoming an even thinner embryonic world.
Spirit World.
The place where spiritual power remained.
The Spirit World and the soul began advancing in tandem, slowly developing and taking shape.
No one knew how long this evolution lasted before the wooden Frog puppet suddenly opened its eyes.
With a whoosh, its strange feet rose to stand. Like a human, it stared blankly into the distance, gasping in great mouthfuls.
It stretched out its two front paws and clutched
