Innate elemental physiology

Elves are born with multiple magical organs that draw power from the Elemental Tide. Their bodies are naturally suited to spellcasting, and ordinary Elves can reach the level of a High Mage after little more than a dozen years of growth 36.

• Every Elf possesses a neural network that accelerates elemental flow through the body 36.
• Elven veins conduct magic faster than Mithril; transplanted veins can greatly improve elemental absorption and casting speed 37.
• As Elves age, their magical organs can fuse into specialized hybrid magics, including Moonlight and Eternal Light 36.
• Archmage-level Elves may form Elfstones, elemental crystals that can aid a mage’s understanding of the Elemental Tide or serve as wand cores 37.

Ancient trees and elemental advancement

Elven advancement has historically depended on ancient trees that reorganize and refine an Elf’s elemental powers 55.

The Life Ancient Tree’s inability to create new First-Generation Elves after a mutation of the Elemental Tide began the long decline of the original Elven bloodlines 504. Oak Space, the Derivative Space associated with the ancient oak, filters and preserves Natural Elements through thousands of membrane-like layers, but its energy reserves have deteriorated severely 532 533.

Society and Territory

Elves are closely associated with the tropical rainforest, where forest cover, treants, Elven archers, and attendants provide them with a formidable defensive advantage 41. Some Elven tribes forbid humans from approaching their territory, and slave-catching groups that enter the rainforest suffer severe losses 41.

Their hostility toward slave traders is rooted in the trade of Elven captives and organs. Elven slaves are highly valued for their appearance, magical organs, and bloodline potential, particularly male Elves, whose offspring with human women may inherit one or more magical organs 41.

• Female Elven slaves begin at roughly fifty silver coins and may sell for several gold coins depending on appearance and strength 41.
• Male Elven slaves are especially sought after because their descendants may inherit Elven magical organs; cited Ivory Tower data states that thirty percent of children born to human women and male Elves possess one magical organ, while ten percent possess two 41.
• An ordinary adult Elf is described as capable of reaching the level of an Intermediate Mage, giving the race a powerful baseline in combat and survival 48.
• The Elves comprise more than a hundred tribes, including large Moon Elf and Elemental Elf populations as well as smaller Flower, Tide, and Star-Moon Elf groups 498.

Royal customs

The Elven Queen is expected to secure the continuation of the royal bloodline through prince consorts. Previous queens possessed numerous consorts, while Ke’er initially had none before Li Ziran received the title of First Prince Consort 208 417 497.

Elven ceremonial customs prescribe rigid rules for a prince consort’s dress, movement, posture, breathing, and position beside the Queen. These customs became a source of conflict when Li Ziran openly rejected the elders’ expectations during his arrival in Elven City 497.

Elven Pilgrimage

Every fifty years, nearly all Elves leave the rainforest and travel across the Wasteland toward Despair Forest 41. Though outsiders initially do not understand its purpose, the pilgrimage is essential to Elven survival: it allows Elves to reach the Eternal Ancient Tree during a brief pause in Despair Forest’s lethal Elemental Tide and reorganize their elemental powers 55.

Despair Forest is exposed to both the freezing tides of the North Ice Sea and the Wasteland’s scorching Elemental Tide. Its Dream Ancient Trees produce a hallucinatory mist lethal to most races—including Elves—making the destination particularly mysterious 41.

The migration exposes the Elves beyond the protection of their rainforest and turns them into targets for Wasteland slave-catching groups. Li Ziran recognizes that the pilgrimage is potentially profitable but too dangerous for someone of his strength to exploit directly 41.

• The safe window in Despair Forest occurs only once every ten years, when the poisonous Elemental Tide briefly stops 55.
• Common Elves need the pilgrimage’s ancient-tree resources to fuse magic, while higher-ranked Elves need increasingly powerful trees to reorganize their elements and continue advancing 55.
• The pilgrimage’s dangers are accepted as a racial necessity. The Elves believe that failing to pursue transformation would lead to their elimination from the Red Soil Continent 55.
• During the previous pilgrimage, Jon survived an ambush by seven wind-element Archmages, but his pregnant wife and an Elven tribe were captured by human-associated forces 55.
• The capture of Jon’s unborn Ancient descendant became one of the Elves’ greatest losses, as a single such descendant could potentially grow into a future Title Magister 50 55.

Military Capabilities

During the pilgrimage, Elven forces demonstrated large-scale magical and military coordination.

• Elven pilgrims travelled on unicorns, supported by Hippogriff-mounted archers 47.
• Their mages rapidly extinguished fire rain, hardened molten ground, and created a usable road through the Wasteland with Flame Extraction, Mud Solidification, and Freezing Spell 47.
• The Elven vanguard destroyed Mading’er Town’s magical barrier, walls, and gates within minutes 47.
• Three Elves created an emerald barrier around the Windmill, immobilizing the Centaurs inside and sealing the building 49.
• Elven investigators could detect the scent and blood aura of nearby Elves, including Ancient and Moon Elf traces concealed within Life Tree Leaves 49.
• Elven forces can deploy Unicorn knights, Hippogriff archers, Giant Bear druids, Chimera mages, jungle leopard scouts, and White Tiger Priests in a single royal escort 439.
• During the local war with the Human Race, Elves used Hippogriffs, Treefolk, Two-Headed Chimeras, Giant Bears, elemental weather, and large-scale spellfire to destroy Human fortifications and capture advanced steel warships 458.

• Li Ziran’s organ modifications enabled some long-stagnant High Mages among Fire, Earth, Water, and other mainstream Elf groups to advance to Magister rank 504.
• The Primordial Elves retain ancient mixed-magic formations. The corpses of approximately three hundred Primordial Elves were later converted into Corpse Witches capable of Archmage-comparable power and coordinated combined magic 533.

• Humans — Relations are deeply strained by the human slave trade in Elves, captive breeding, and the harvesting of Elven magical organs 41. Human attacks, propaganda, rainforest incursions, and attempts to seize Li Ziran have escalated this hostility into open local war 440 458.
• Wasteland Slave-Catching Groups — These groups view the pilgrimage as a rare opportunity to capture high-value Elven slaves; Elves retaliate fiercely against traffickers and rainforest intruders 41.
• Centaurs of Mading’er Town — The Centaur defenders surrendered quickly when the Elven vanguard entered Mading’er; they were subsequently compelled to assist with the occupation and inspections 47.
• Nicole Bailando and Li Ziran — Nicole possesses an Ancient Elf captive intended as the source of organs and blood for her transformation surgery, while Li Ziran prepares the procedure 42 44 46.
• Jon — The Neon Archmage leads the search for the stolen Ancient Elven Descendant and links Li Ziran to the disappearance of Moon Elf Archmages and captured pilgrims 49 50. Jon later reveals that the missing descendant is his son and becomes willing to abandon the pilgrimage’s collective mission to search for him 55.
• Anfuni — A White Tiger Priest and one of the Elf Queen’s personal priests. She serves as an Elven diplomat, investigator, military leader, and close intermediary between Li Ziran and the Elven leadership 55 208 456.
• Ke’er — The reigning Elven Queen. She entered a political alliance and eventual marriage with Li Ziran, making him the Elves’ First Prince Consort; together they consolidated her authority and advanced organ-based Elven reform 456 497 520.
• Li Ziran — Initially pursued as a suspected kidnapper and organ harvester, Li later became indispensable to Elven survival through embryo research, organ modification, elemental theory, and the creation of new racial abilities 50 443 504.
• Primordial Elves and Oak Space — The Primordial Elves are both the Elves’ revered ancestral bloodline and a political check on the Queen’s authority. Their rigid hierarchy, control of Oak Space, and demand for bloodline preservation have repeatedly conflicted with Ke’er’s reforms 498 504 532.
• Demons of the Abyss — The Abyss regards Elven territory as a valuable source of powerful souls. Its infiltrators have used artificial Fire Elf bodies to conduct reconnaissance, destruction, and kidnappings of Elven scholars 326.
• Dungeon races — Elves joined Humans, Dwarves, and Beast Race forces in resisting the Dungeon invasion, though the Dungeon’s advanced organ-transplant methods created alarm over its potential to exploit Elven organs and knowledge 411.
• Other races — Dwarves, Sea Folk, Orcs, Tree Shepherds, Deer Race representatives, and other groups increasingly seek Elven access to Li Ziran’s modifications, creating both diplomatic opportunities and destabilizing pressure on the rainforest 505 506.

Story Role / Major Arcs

Elven pilgrimage and the fall of Mading’er

The Elven pilgrimage reaches the Wasteland in massive numbers and overturns the slave traders’ expectation of easy prey. The vanguard captures Mading’er Town, orders the execution of those involved in Elven trafficking, and conducts violent searches for anyone carrying an Elven scent 47.

The occupation demonstrates the Elves’ capacity for collective retaliation but also their indiscriminate brutality. Centaurs and ordinary workers are compelled into the inspections, while several residents are executed merely for suspected contact with Elves 47 48.

Search for the Ancient Descendant

The discovery of Ancient Elf blood and a strong Moon Elf aura at the Windmill transforms the local inspection into a major Elven investigation. Three Elves seal the building, while Jon arrives on a Two-Headed Chimera and demands Li Ziran’s location 49.

Jon later places Mading’er under martial law and orders interrogations and Soul Searches to locate the Ancient Descendant. Soul Search is forbidden among Elves because it commonly destroys the victim’s mind, but Jon authorizes it despite the prohibition 50.

The investigation is driven by the belief that the missing descendant is Jon’s son and may become a future Title Magister. Jon’s fixation causes him to place his child above the pilgrimage and the Elves’ collective survival 55.

Decline of the rainforest and alliance with Li Ziran

As the Elven population ages and its younger generations fail to produce enough Magisters and Archmages, the Queen, priests, and elders seek Li Ziran’s aid through marriage, bloodline integration, and organ research 417.

Human agents exploit the Elves’ weakness by planting Magic Stones in the rainforest and igniting ancient high-tier purple flames. The fire kills Elves and Treefolk, devastates large sections of the rainforest, and is falsely presented as divine punishment for Elven worship of corrupted powers 440 443.

Li Ziran’s research establishes that Elven Magic Organs can be altered by refined Human Elemental Glands, potentially recreating Primordial Elf traits. This discovery makes him simultaneously an invaluable ally, a political threat, and a target for Elven elders, Human authorities, and other factions 443 445.

Ke’er’s rise and the Human-Elven local war

Ke’er reveals herself as the Elven Queen and negotiates a political partnership with Li Ziran. In exchange for his public support, modifications for elderly magicians, and a proposed marriage, she offers access to Human political channels and advanced Natural Element Theory 456.

Using intelligence connected to Rooney’s operations, Ke’er directs a decisive Elven assault against Human forces around the rainforest. Elven forces destroy the invading positions, capture warships, and expose contradictions in the Human Race’s public account of Rooney’s execution 458.

The conflict strengthens Ke’er’s military authority but deepens Human-Elven hostility, while continued propaganda and attempted coercion make Li Ziran’s safety a central Elven concern 468.

Prince consort crisis and Elven reform

Li Ziran’s arrival in Elven City as Ke’er’s First Prince Consort provokes the six elders, who consider him disrespectful, politically dangerous, and unworthy of Elven custom 497 498.

The elders issue a Prince Dismissal Agreement and threaten to invoke Primordial Elf authority against Ke’er. Their opposition weakens after Li Ziran’s modifications awaken new abilities across Flower Elves, Silvermoon Elves, and mainstream elemental tribes 498 504.

By the time of the wedding, tribal leaders and elders formally transfer authority to Ke’er. The ceremony becomes both a marriage and a political consolidation of the Elven tribes under a reformed monarchy supported by Li Ziran’s techniques 520.

Oak Space crisis

Oak Space is revealed as a vast, decaying Derivative Space containing thousands of elemental filtration layers. It preserves Natural Elements for the Primordial Elves but also enforces a ruthless bloodline hierarchy, expels weaker Elves, and conceals the remains of Elves who attempted escape 532 533.

Dan Qiong, a First-Generation Elf and Aimier’s mother, seeks to turn Li Ziran’s Nature World into a replacement foundation for Oak Space. Li rejects becoming an immobile godlike vessel for the Elves, recognizing that the plan would cost him his freedom and body 529.

The conflict within Oak destabilizes the Elven homeland. Ke’er evacuates civilians as ancient forbidden magic and Elemental Incarnations erupt from the sacred tree, exposing the vulnerability of the Elves’ oldest institution 549.

Struggle over the Oak and Li Ziran’s knowledge

After Oak is damaged and exposed, Human, Demon, Dwarf, Goblin, Dragon, Winged Race, and Ancient Clan forces converge to seize the memories and cultivation secrets bound to it 555.

The competition devastates the rainforest and kills many Elves. The arrival of a Brass Giant and the Sea God escalates the struggle beyond the capacity of the Elves or Humans to control, turning Elven ancestral knowledge into a continental and potentially ancient-era conflict 555.

Post-calamity recovery

The Doomsday Calamity and subsequent foreign attention expose major gaps in rainforest security. Spies, raiders, and slave catchers enter in growing numbers, abducting Elves while Ke’er struggles to defend her newly consolidated realm 527.

Ke’er responds by planning to institutionalize Li Ziran’s organ-modification system, train Elven shamans in transplantation, and spread medical and embryological knowledge throughout the tribes so the Elves can develop independently rather than rely solely on Li Ziran 527.
