The slice of meat rolled between his two rows of teeth, fresh juice flowing over the base of his tongue. In an instant, a distinct scent of green grass struck him. It was somewhat like mint, and somewhat like lotus leaves. It was hard to imagine meat carrying the flavor of vegetables, yet there was more than one kind. Some grassy flavors were faint, while others were exceptionally rich, like freshly squeezed vegetable juice.

He could sense that they were the same kind of element, but their levels of recombination were clearly different. Evidently, the same element could exist in different forms within a single organ.

This single grassy element alone came in at least seven varieties.

After that came a faint watery vapor. Though Li Ziran had never seen what a water element looked like, he was certain this was one. It felt exactly like drinking water. He carefully chewed with his teeth, doing his utmost to experience the flavors of different water elements.

The light flavor was clearly primordial water element, and he could sense impurities within it. That pure, crystalline sensation, on the other hand, was clearly recombined water element.
