Everything had happened too fast.
Andre had only just been captured, yet the news had already spread.
Clearly, Feng and Andre had some sort of connection.
The response had simply come too quickly. There had not even been time to prepare.
In the blink of an eye, a terrifying spatial tremor had already begun. It was clearly a Forbidden Spell-level weapon locking onto them.
This was the heartland of the Human Race, the Triangle Council. One could imagine just how heavily armed and guarded this place was.
Li Ziran swiftly left the basement. The moment he entered the main hall, he saw every member desperately fleeing outside, only to be blocked back by a layer of membrane.
It was very thin!
Like plastic wrap, yet this tiny membrane was impossible to cross.
Through the membrane, rows of armed mechs could be seen neatly arranged outside the negotiation hall, their cannons aimed directly at its center.
Under the protection of the mechs, a group of gray-robed Mages was rapidly inscribing runes. They were clearly constructing a massive magic array.
"It's the Soul Detection Array!" Ke'er said weakly. "They're preventing souls from spreading outward. This place has been sealed off. They want to lock this place down completely!"
At that moment, a rumbling sound came from overhead. Magical airships.
The airships were held aloft by four enormous propellers, and two pitch-black shells hung beneath each one.
Buzz!
With a faint tremor, every pane of glass in the negotiation hall shattered. A piercing shriek surged in from outside. It was some kind of bizarre sonic attack.
As the vibrations spread, the entire space hummed and jolted with increasing violence.
Li Ziran hurriedly retreated. In that brief moment of distraction, twisted patterns had appeared across the membrane, and crackling spatial ripples kept bursting apart.
