She lay bare before Li Ziran, the icy chill of the wind on the grassy islet caressing every pore of her skin and making her shiver without stop.
Snow kept her eyes tightly shut, but strangely, Li Ziran did not violate her any further. He merely studied her closely, as though appraising a precious antique.
She boldly opened her eyes and looked at the man before her. At some point, a vivid crimson heart had appeared in his hand, followed by a writhing brain. Without any particularly noticeable movement, fine veins from the cerebral cortex were drawn out bit by bit like strands of brittle candy.
His movements were swift. The veins took shape in no more than an instant, then were arranged precisely over a human skeleton.
His fingers continuously moved across the skeleton, Wind Blades flowing from his fingertips. The blades precisely trimmed away excess bone, and before she knew it, the skeleton had become the same size as him. Like a sculptor, he carved the bones before him.
Snow could not understand what the man was doing. In the brief moment she was distracted, blood vessels had already been drawn from the heart one after another. As though possessing spirits, they danced with Li Ziran's fingers. Though they seemed utterly disorderly, they always landed accurately across the surface of the skeleton, deliberately leaving special ports wherever each vessel passed.
He began working on those ports. A liver, kidneys, and one organ after another connected to the vessels. Almost in an instant, this shell began to move reluctantly with the beating of its heart.
Yet Li Ziran's fingers did not stop. Finer Wind Blades flowed between them, falling upon the organs' surfaces and carving line after line of patterns like tattoos. The patterns were utterly incomprehensible, like a
