"What will you use as collateral?" Crocodile asked instinctively.
"Business is business. How about you give me my first sale today?" As he spoke, Li Ziran placed the price tag that had fallen to the floor before Crocodile. He stroked his chin in thought for a while, then carefully sized Crocodile up and said, "Given your size and strength, you'd be best suited for this three-thousand-Void-Coin package. It can ensure that your vital organs won't be damaged in the Void Expanse. Since this is your shop, I'll give you a twenty percent discount. Two thousand four. Oh, right—how much is your rent?"
"One thousand!" Crocodile blurted out.
"Very good. Then you only need to pay me one thousand four hundred Void Coins." Li Ziran extended his hand, his face full of amiability.
Snort!
Laughter suddenly rose from the doorway. In the time they had spent making a fuss, they had attracted quite a few onlookers. Some who had listened to Li Ziran settle the deal could not help laughing.
Once they laughed, Crocodile came back to his senses. Not only would he fail to collect the rent, he would have to hand over Void Coins for nothing. He was furious. Worse still, the other party was treating him like a monkey for amusement. Even if he feared Li Ziran's methods, he could not let himself be bullied like this for nothing.
His two foreclaws slammed straight toward the table. He could not do anything to Li Ziran, so he would wreck this shop instead. It was his, anyway.
His crocodile palm carried tremendous force, yet before it could touch the tabletop, Li Ziran lightly blocked it. That hard palm seemed to lose its backbone, instantly turning into grains of sand that scattered across the floor.
That move scared him stiff.
