Facing the aggressively pressing Adahua, Avilan had a headache. Born into a melee class, he was not skilled at fighting mages in PK. He had suppressed mages like this before, but being suppressed by a melee class like this was a first.
"You're dead for sure! If you're willing to submit to me and sign a master-servant contract, I, the great Lord Adahua, may consider sparing your life!" Adahua shouted excitedly.
It was not as though he had never fought high-level mages before, but he had never encountered one he could suppress so easily.
The effortless suppression sent his confidence soaring in an instant.
"Are you done?" Avilan said with an amused smile.
Then Adahua saw a massive fist abruptly appear before him.
With a soft bang.
Adahua sprawled face-first onto the ground.
The few Tier Three knights standing around in support stared blankly at the scene before them. How had the invincible Lord Adahua ended up lying on the ground with his ass stuck high in the air?
"What's going on?"
"Could this be some new sword technique?"
As the knights continued to speculate, Avilan planted a foot on Adahua's ass.
As a level 100 hidden-class Demon Lord, Avilan's strength bonus was already higher than that of ordinary human melee classes. Not to mention the enormous level gap—though he wore a full set of mage equipment, Avilan's strength was still far beyond what a mere level-fifty-something warrior could endure.
No matter how well one wielded a sword, one punch would still knock them flat.
Only when the others saw Adahua soaring high through the air, blood streaming from his head, did they realize that Adahua had been defeated.
Rather than trying to catch Adahua, they collectively turned and ran. If even Adahua could not defeat him, then these Tier Three knights stood even less of a chance. Even sacrificing themselves would be useless.
As for whether Adahua lived or died, they had long since cast it beyond the nine heavens.
"Hey, hey, you're just abandoning your lord?" Avilan said listlessly, then raised his staff again.
A white magic circle appeared atop the staff.
"Radiant Bullet! Rapid Fire!"
A series of bangs rang out, much like the sound of a machine gun spraying bullets. The fleeing knights had never imagined that fast-casting spells could be used in such a manner. The moment they heard Avilan's voice, they began running in irregular patterns, yet they were still swept by the barrage.
Those struck in the arm had their arms blown clean off. Those hit in the torso were blasted with fist-sized holes. One particularly thin female knight was directly blown into two at the waist.
The scene was bloody and horrifying.
Yet as Avilan watched it unfold, his face was filled with pleasure and excitement.
After firing several hundred Radiant Bullets, his Radiant Bullet skill directly rose to level two, its power increasing by twenty percent.
Valen, who was heading toward the rear army, knew nothing of Adahua's crushing defeat or the slaughter of the vanguard. He simply did not believe that Lord Adahua could lose, much less that Lord Adahua would lose so quickly, or that the Blood Church's elite Bloody Knights brought by Adahua would collapse so fast.
As Valen headed toward the rear army, rage churned wildly in his heart. What force dared to make enemies of their Blood Church?
Were they courting death?!
The Blood Church was now famed and formidable. Even the Kompno Duchy and the Roen Kingdom, those two nations, were unwilling to provoke them lightly—let alone anyone else.
He had not cared in the slightest about the village they had slaughtered before. Mere crawling insects; being able to contribute to the Blood Church's grand cause was their good fortune!
Could the nearby Essin City behind them have followed their trail and come to hunt them down? Did the Kompno Duchy have such nerve?
The moment Valen reached the rear army's position, his expression changed drastically.
Then towering fury blazed within him, as though it wished to burn mountains to ash and boil great rivers dry!
He saw corpses everywhere, blood flowing into rivers, while the black-armored knights under his command fled in disarray. Fewer than a hundred remained!
It had only been half a quarter-hour, hadn't it?
The reason he had strolled over so unhurriedly was that he had absolute confidence in the army under his command. Even the Kompno Duchy's Imperial Guard, with equal numbers, could not possibly defeat them!
There had been fifteen or sixteen Tier Three greatswordsmen alone, yet now, after one sweep of his gaze, he could not see a single one!
"Courting death!"
With fury soaring in his eyes, Valen roared. His face twisted as the staff in his hand burst with dazzling light, and a Dark Spear shot viciously toward Cameron, who was sweeping through the battlefield!
"Hmm?!"
Cameron whirled around, savage light flashing in his eyes. Like an undefeated war god, he brought his greatsword down through the air!
Clang!
It was as though the toll of a great bell had suddenly rung out as spear and sword collided fiercely!
The heavens and earth seemed to split into two halves. On one side, boundless azure light flashed, azure flames soaring into the sky; on the other, endless black radiance swept forth, eerie and sinister.
The surrounding trees were ripped up by their roots and shattered layer upon layer. Huge boulders flew through the air before exploding with bangs!
Both sides were horrified and hurriedly retreated. With such terrifying power, if they stood in the center, they would surely die!
Cameron retreated several steps, his greatsword trembling and humming. Yet his expression was exceedingly excited, his battle intent intense. As he looked at Valen standing more than ten meters away, brilliant light burst from his eyes!
Valen was somewhat shocked. Looking at the brawny man opposite him, his expression became exceptionally grave. He was a level 41 mage, a high-level mage, and within the Blood Church, his status was second only to Adahua.
"Who are you, to dare make enemies of our Holy Church?"
Valen shouted. The man before him was extremely powerful, absolutely no weaker than himself!
"Cameron of Essin City!"
Cameron shouted coldly, battle intent surging. He had already stepped half a foot into the Hero Realm, and he had a premonition that today's battle might very well bring him a breakthrough.
Essin City?
Valen froze, almost unable to believe his own ears. Wasn't Essin City merely a small border town of the Kompno Duchy? How could it possess a Tier Four expert?
Was he simply ignorant and ill-informed, or had the world changed too quickly?!
If he learned that Adahua's target this time had been Cameron, he would likely begin to doubt whether this world was real.
Before he could figure it out, Cameron strode toward him. Azure light flashed from the greatsword in his hand, as though it had been forged from emerald. Sharp sword lights circled his body, like a flower made of sword radiance!
Slash!
The greatsword rose high, then crashed down like a towering divine mountain, overturning the sky and covering the earth!
Valen snorted coldly, utterly fearless. With a turn of his staff, two dark-element magic circles overlapped and slammed together. He was preparing to unleash a major move.
But Cameron showed no fear at all and charged straight at him.
"What an idiot. He actually intends to take the Black Dragon Wave head-on."
An unfamiliar voice rang out. Then Valen's head exploded, and the half-formed spell collapsed in backlash, instead producing a violent explosion that sent the surrounding soldiers flying.
The terrifying aftershock swept across dozens of meters. The ground caved in, earth and stone shot skyward, and tree after tree rustled violently before toppling outward.
Cameron, who had switched from offense to defense, swiftly leaped out of the explosive smoke. His gaze remained fixed on the direction of Chika Village, where a snow-white figure flickered in and out of sight as it walked toward them.
