Everyone saw it happen, but no one could do anything!

Another cold gust swept through. The groom's sister's sobs mingled once more with the Bride's mother's screams and the child's cries.

Realizing she could speak again, Yin Ge swallowed.

She clearly remembered what the Bride had just said.

Who was it!

The Bride was asking who the Killer was!

Realizing this, Yin Ge immediately looked at the clock. The hour hand pointed at "8."

It was eight o'clock at night.

Her body had been controlled at nine in the morning, returned to normal at six in the evening, and the Bride had appeared at eight that night.

After quickly running through this information in her mind, she shouted at everyone, "Stop making noise! The Bride wants an answer from us. She's asking who the Killer is!"

But most of them had already been terrified out of their wits by the Bride. How could they listen to Yin Ge?

Yin Ge had no choice but to raise her voice again. "Anyone who wants to die, keep crying!"

As soon as she said that, the Bride's mother and the groom's sister covered their mouths. Everyone else looked at Yin Ge in horror.

Yin Ge quickly repeated herself. "The Bride is asking us who the Killer is!"

"H-how can that be? Isn't there still time?" The groom's sister's pupils dilated, her eyes bloodshot.

"Right, didn't you say we still had time? Why did the Bride suddenly appear?"

At that, the Bride's mother instantly turned on Yin Ge. "You! It was you! You told us there was still time. This is all your fault!"

Her words instantly ignited everyone else's anger. Aside from the best man and the child, everyone glared at Yin Ge with hatred.

The child sobbed as he clutched the corner of Yin Ge's clothes.

Yin Ge's mind raced.

How could this be?

Why would the Bride give them only one day to find the Killer?

What could they possibly do in one day? That couldn't be right!

Just as Yin Ge was thinking, the best man suddenly shouted, "I remember! I remember now!"

"We're supposed to identify one Killer every day! Not identify the Killer on the final day!"

"Every day?" The Bride's father was frantic. "Are you kidding me? What happens if we choose wrong? This game doesn't want us to live!"

"No, this is our chance!" the best man said again. "Think about it. There are still three days left, which means we have three chances to find the Killer."

"If we waited until the final day to identify the Killer, we'd only have one chance. So... so this is actually good for us!"

The Bride's mother asked shrilly, "Th-then what happens if we identify the wrong Killer?"

The best man pressed his lips together tightly. "I don't know. I've never seen anything like this."

In other words, everything was unknown... Yin Ge gritted her teeth. "Isn't the time too short? How could anyone determine who the Killer is based only on what happened during one day?"

"Even if we can't be sure, we still have to choose someone! Otherwise, who knows what will happen?" the groom's sister said fearfully.

The Bride's father sounded desperate. "Best man, why didn't you wait until we were dead to tell us? If you'd said it earlier, we'd have had some time to discuss it. Now the fire is at our feet. What are we supposed to do?"

The best man gritted his teeth. "I've only read about the Son of Heaven Game. I've never played it. I had no idea how these steps were supposed to work, much less that the Bride would come directly to us! How is that my fault?"

That was understandable.

After all, in a place like this, everyone was facing a life-or-death crisis. Their nerves were bound to be stretched taut, and it was easy to forget or mix up things.

"Stop it!" The groom looked terrified as he demanded furiously, "Damn it, tell me first. What happens to the person chosen as the Killer?"

He was completely uneasy, because he was currently under the greatest suspicion.

The best man's lips moved. "The person chosen as the Killer will die, whether or not they are the real Killer."

The moment they heard that, everyone's pupils trembled. Tension and fear crept into their hearts, leaving no room for reason.

"Die? I don't want to die! Groom, he's the Killer!" The Bride's mother squeezed her eyes shut in utter panic.

The groom instantly raised his voice. "I'm not the Killer! You bitch, all you know how to do is talk trash. I think you should be the first one to die!"

The Bride's mother shouted, "If I die, I'll take you down with me first!"

The groom opened his mouth, then did not dare say anything. The living room fell silent at once.

The Bride stood in the middle of the room, seemingly waiting for an answer.

After a long time, the Bride's father finally asked the most crucial question. "Then who do we identify?"

After saying that, he stared fixedly at the groom, as though he had already decided that the groom was the Killer.

Noticing this, the groom panicked and snarled, "I'm a Son of Heaven! You can't identify me!"

The bride's mother hurriedly said, "You definitely aren't a Son of Heaven. You kept insisting that you discerned I didn't have Commoner Divinity. That's impossible. You're lying!"

"Right! It's you!" the Bride's father said viciously. "You were furious about being cheated on, so you harmed the Bride. It was you! It had to be you!"

His tone was utterly certain.

The groom's sister trembled as she spoke. "I-I don't know, but since everyone says it's you, then I-I think it's you too. There's no one else but you."

"Unless... unless another person with Commoner Divinity appears."

Hearing that, the groom became even angrier. "Idiots! You're all idiots! Whether there's a second Commoner or not, I'm still a Son of Heaven!"

Yin Ge frowned.

Strange. The groom's thought process was far too strange.

What the groom's sister had just said was actually sound logic.

The groom claimed he had discerned that the bride's mother was the murderer, yet the bride's mother had admitted to possessing Commoner Divinity.

That made the groom the most suspicious person.

But if a second Commoner appeared, the suspicion on him would indeed plummet.

If the groom had truly used Discernment to determine that the Bride's mother was the Killer, it meant there was another Commoner hiding among the others.

In that situation, in order to survive and reduce suspicion, shouldn't the groom's instinctive reaction have been to search the remaining people for the real Commoner?

But he had not done that just now. Instead, it was as though he had tacitly assumed that a second Commoner would not appear among the others.

Yin Ge thought back again. Earlier, when she had been confirming whether there was a second Commoner, the groom had not seemed eager to find one either.

Combined with what had happened before, there were indeed too many doubts surrounding the groom's identity.

Just as Yin Ge was pondering this, the Bride standing in the center seemed to lose patience. Her voice grew louder and louder.

"Who was it!"

"Who was it!!"

"Who was it!!!"

The shrill sound made everyone cover their ears.

The best man spoke again. "We can't delay any longer. If this goes on, the Bride will only become more impatient!"

"What if she kills all of us if we don't give her an answer?"

Yin Ge quickly asked, "Can there only be one person identified as the Killer?"

"If three of us point to the groom, three point to the Bride's mother, and one points to themselves, would that mean there are two Killers?"

The Bride's mother immediately objected. "The Killer is right in front of us, so why identify me? You're targeting me!"

Before Yin Ge could speak, the groom flew into a rage. "Bullshit! Why should I be identified!?"

Yin Ge could not be bothered with either of them and stared directly at the best man.

The best man immediately understood Yin Ge's intention and answered at once, "No. You can't identify yourself!"

In other words, they had to send one person to die now!

Yin Ge closed her eyes, torn inside.

Realizing things were going badly, the groom tried to explain, "I really am a Son of Heaven. I only said that woman was the Killer because I couldn't stand her!"

"Men are all scum. Stop trying to deceive us. You're the Killer!" The Bride's mother's voice was vicious. Then she raised her hand and pointed straight at the groom.

"I identify you as the Killer!"
