Background / History
Yin Ge was orphaned at the age of three and later lived alone in a rented apartment at the Youth Road Residential Complex. Before her first game, she dismissed the Son of Heaven Game as empty online horror content, though she continued following frightening livestreams and news reports out of curiosity. 1 25 46
Her skepticism ended when the reported death of a bride occurred in her own residential complex. After hearing knocks at her door late at night, Yin Ge armed herself with a fruit knife and looked through the peephole, becoming one of the Bride Game’s participants. 1
Appearance
Yin Ge is a young woman whose appearance became visibly altered by the Persona acquired from the Bride Game.
- Her left eye turns blood-red when she activates her Persona; its veins writhe visibly across the eyeball. 21 25
- Prolonged use causes severe bleeding, pain, and damage to both her mind and body. 17 44 46
- After the Deadly Mall mission, she wears a Central Trait eyepatch over her left eye and can see only through her right eye. 46
- Gu Jin gives her sunglasses to conceal her abnormal red eyes in public. 48
Personality
Yin Ge is skeptical, observant, and intensely practical. She initially rejects mystical explanations for the Son of Heaven Game, but once trapped within it, she prioritizes reconstructing events and testing contradictions over trusting emotional accusations or claimed identities. 1 7 14
She is calm under extreme pressure and willing to conceal information when disclosure would endanger her allies or expose classified White Nighter resources. She frequently guides discussions by provoking reactions, presenting partial truths, or directing suspicion toward safer lines of inquiry. 34 41 42
Although Yin Ge once claimed that she wanted to die, learning that Persona consumption would erase her memories, will, and identity forces her to confront her genuine desire to survive. She resolves that even one additional day of life is worth fighting for. 22 Material comforts and superficial attention lose their appeal after this realization. 24
Her compassion does not prevent her from making harsh decisions. Yin Ge grieves after using Sage on a soldier carrying Beasthood, yet accepts that hesitation could condemn many more people. She later risks her own life and reveals her Grand Physician identity to protect the Daylight Faction from sacrificing a more valuable ally. 30 36
Abilities & Skills
Observation Persona
Yin Ge can project her vision through mirrors and other reflective surfaces, allowing her to observe distant locations from a normal first-person perspective rather than from above. 17 25
- Effective range: approximately three kilometers. 26
- Maximum tested duration: approximately five minutes. 26
- Can observe detailed information, including objects carried by distant targets. 25
- Can spread her perception through multiple reflective surfaces, manifesting as a blood-red eye within mirrors. 44
- Severe overuse accelerates Persona devouring, causes physical collapse, and allows the Bride’s memories to intrude upon her identity. 44 46 50
Control Persona
Control is the true active function behind Yin Ge’s Peeping ability. Once a target is observed through an appropriate mirror, she can manipulate their movements and actions. 25
- Can control people or objects within her Observation Persona’s range. 26
- Requires a nearby mirror to reflect the target’s entire body or form. 26
- Cannot normally affect people protected by Godheads. 25
- Persona users can resist her control, though Yin Ge overpowered two hostile Persona users when pushed to desperation. 49
- She used Control to force a thief to return stolen money, retrieve evidence through Zhang Zichen’s roommate, and turn an attacker’s hair weapon against its owners. 25 44 49
Godhead Laws
| Godhead | Law | Applications |
|---|---|---|
| Court Minister | Rule Disruption | In the Bride Game, Yin Ge received two opportunities to rewrite rules: one saving use and one killing use. 5 |
| Grand Physician | Death Immunity | Grants one additional chance at survival. Yin Ge used it after the group identified her, preventing her erasure. 31 36 |
Deduction and Game Strategy
Yin Ge’s main strength is her ability to analyze scenario events separately from Godhead claims, then use the inconsistencies between both sources of information to identify Beasthood. 7 14
- Identifies suspicious patterns by reconstructing events surrounding the scenario’s central victim. 19 47
- Uses group discussion to expose concealed Laws, motives, and contradictions. 34 35
- Withholds Sage-related knowledge to avoid becoming a target and to protect Order Center secrets. 33 41
- Coordinates covertly with allies through signals, including instructing the Principal not to activate Shattering Jade when she closes her eyes. 42
- Takes command when other participants become paralyzed by fear or indecision. 36 39
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Sage wristband — A blue, single-use Persona container that merged into her skin. Yin Ge used it to converge the Poor Student’s Personhood; it was expended before the second Beasthood could be contained. 28 30 31
- Mirrors — Essential focuses for Observation and Control. Yin Ge carries portable mirrors and positioned several throughout her home for emergencies. 25 49
- Central Trait eyepatch — Covers her damaged left eye after the Bride’s Personhood begins replacing her. 46
- Sunglasses — Given by Gu Jin to conceal her red eyes. 48
- Knives — Purchased for self-defense after learning that hostile Persona users may target her Personhood. 48
Relationships
- Qin Li — Her Neutrino Persona Order Center adviser, recruiter, and primary source of information on White Nighters, Personas, and Son of Heaven Games. He repeatedly warns Yin Ge about Persona devouring and arranges her missions. 21 24 28 46
- Gu Jin — Formerly the Bride Game’s best man; later an intern researcher at the Order Center. He bears no resentment over Yin Ge identifying him, gives her practical support, and investigates a possible method to slow her Persona consumption. 26 48 50
- The Child / Bride’s younger brother — Initially trusted Yin Ge after using Discernment on her. Yin Ge later traced multiple conflicts back to him and arranged his elimination after concluding that he was the Bride Game’s killer. 9 19 20
- Grade Leader — A soldier allied with Yin Ge during the Deadly Mall scenario. He protects her hidden Grand Physician identity, while Yin Ge risks exposure to prevent the group from identifying him. 35 36
- Principal — Another soldier ally in the Deadly Mall scenario. Yin Ge privately coordinates strategy with him and prevents him from using Shattering Jade at the wrong moment. 39 42
- Poor Student — A soldier carrying Beasthood who voluntarily allowed Yin Ge to use Sage on him. His sacrifice leaves Yin Ge with lasting guilt. 29 30
- The Bully / female teacher — The final Deadly Mall Beasthood. Yin Ge uncovers her manipulation of Zhang Zichen’s letter and gift, forcing her confession and ending the game. 45 47
- The Bride / Peeping Persona — The foreign Personhood inhabiting Yin Ge’s left eye. Its memories and consciousness increasingly threaten to replace Yin Ge’s identity. 46 50
Story Role / Major Arcs
Bride Game
Yin Ge enters her first Son of Heaven Game unwillingly and becomes the Court Minister. She emphasizes reconstructing the Bride’s daytime experiences rather than blindly trusting claimed Godheads, then forms a temporary alliance with the child, best man, and bride’s father to resist accusations. 5 7 14
After discovering mirror-based surveillance through the bridesmaid’s compact, Yin Ge endures severe eye damage to gather hidden information. She connects the Bride’s conflicts to the child’s interference, then orchestrates a final plan that removes both the child and the suspicious best man from the game. 17 19 20
The game’s conclusion leaves Yin Ge with the Bride’s Observation and Control Personas, as well as the first signs of the blood-red abnormality in her left eye. 20 21
Recruitment as a White Nighter
At the Neutrino Persona Order Center, Qin Li explains that using Personas gradually consumes their host’s original will, memories, spirit, and identity. Yin Ge decides to become a White Nighter in order to gain access to a method that may slow this process. 22 23 24
She is formally registered under the codename Peeping, learns the limitations of her Personas, receives her first Sage, and volunteers for the Deadly Mall mission. 26 28
Deadly Mall
Yin Ge enters Deadly Mall to stop a spreading Commoner-level game. She identifies the original Beasthood with three soldier allies, but discovers that the second scenario contains another Beasthood after her Sage is already consumed. 29 31
As the Grand Physician, she survives a deliberate group identification through Death Immunity and assumes leadership over an increasingly divided Daylight Faction. She uses partial truths, hidden alliances, and the Sure-Win Law to preserve the faction’s numbers while investigating Zhang Zichen’s planned transfer. 36 41 42
On the final day, Yin Ge pushes Observation and Control beyond safe limits to inspect the altered letter and humiliating gift left for Zhang Zichen. This exposes the Bully as Beasthood and ends the game, but leaves Yin Ge critically weakened. 44 45 47
Persona Devouring and Foreign Attack
After the mission, Yin Ge sleeps for three days and awakens with the Bride’s happy childhood memories invading her mind. Qin Li warns that further use of her Persona could fully replace her and trigger a new Son of Heaven Game centered on her. 46
Foreign Persona users later attack her to seize her bound Personhood. Yin Ge uses mirrors prepared throughout her home to control both attackers and kill them away from civilians, but the exertion causes the Bride’s Peeping Persona to manifest more forcefully across the city. 49 50
Unable to fully control the Bride’s Persona, Yin Ge reaches Gu Jin for help. He proposes introducing a second Persona into her body as an untested means of slowing the Bride’s takeover. 50
