A Way Out! The Only Way!

Just as she was getting excited, someone at the very front collapsed to the ground with a thud.

Yin Ge followed the sound and looked over.

It was the groom!

The groom had fallen onto the stairs, his eyes wide, chest heaving as he gasped for breath. He looked terrified.

Yin Ge looked around and discovered that there were seven people in the stairwell altogether!

They were the bride's father, the bride's mother, the bride's younger brother, the groom, the best man, the groom's younger sister, and Yin Ge herself—the bridesmaid.

Everyone else had vanished.

What about the bride?

At that thought, Yin Ge immediately took a step back and stared intently at the groom's side.

After all, she had just watched the groom pull the bride outside. Though he had only been holding empty air, it still sent chills down her spine.

The others seemed to realize something as well. Following Yin Ge's lead, they took a large step back and stared at the groom too.

In an instant, the groom lying on the ground had been separated from everyone else by a distance.

Clearly, the others were also afraid of the groom—or rather, of the invisible bride beside him.

But weren't these people all the bride's family and friends?

Why were they so afraid of the bride too?

Yin Ge found it strange. Then, in an instant, a guess surfaced in her mind.

Like her, the others had merely entered the bodies of people close to the bride and did not actually know her?

Like her, the others had merely entered the bodies of people close to the bride. In reality, none of them knew one another.

Wailing, cries for help, and ragged breathing tangled together.

It should have been an eerie scene, yet those sounds felt far more familiar than the deafening gongs and drums from before.

From their strange actions and words, Yin Ge had already keenly determined that they had gone through the same thing she had.

Just as the situation became increasingly uncontrollable, the best man suddenly spoke, his voice thick with terror. "Son of Heaven Game... I've really entered the Son of Heaven Game!"

"The Son of Heaven Game?"

Yin Ge's attention shifted. She repeated the best man's words under her breath, and the videos she had once seen about the Son of Heaven Game immediately surfaced in her mind.

The way the best man was acting made it clear that he knew something!

Catching onto that, Yin Ge stared at him and asked, "What Son of Heaven Game?"

The others were drawn in by the best man's words as well. "A game? What game?"

The best man's lips trembled. "You seriously don't know about the Son of Heaven Game? The Son of Heaven Game is a real-life game!"

Yin Ge frowned. "Are you saying that everything we're experiencing right now is a game?"

As soon as she said that, everyone lifted their heads and stared fixedly at the best man.

The groom scrambled up from the floor and grabbed the best man by the collar. "A game? What the hell do you mean? I never played any game!"

"The Son of Heaven Game is a real-life game. You can't enter it voluntarily; you can only be dragged into it." The best man showed no anger whatsoever, his eyes filled with fear.

"It's over. It's over for us. We're all finished. We're all going to die..."

Hearing that, the groom became even more frightened. "What the fuck do you mean? If it's a game, then that dead woman was fake, right?"

"No!"

The best man clutched his hair with both hands and shook his head frantically. "It's real. All of this is real! I've read so many science fiction novels. This is alien technology. They want to kill all of us!"

At those words, the groom staggered and fell down again. His body trembled, and a puddle of liquid spread beneath him. A pungent stench instantly filled the stairwell.

The bride's mother covered her nose and moved farther away in disgust.

Seeing that, the groom lost all face and silently gritted his teeth.

The bride's mother did not notice. Her whole body shook, and her lips quivered. "Are there really aliens?"

No one answered her.

The child beside her cried even louder.

Yin Ge could not spare the attention to be afraid. She asked warily, "Then how did you know we entered the Son of Heaven Game?"

The best man spoke tremblingly. "I've collected a lot of information recently. Based on the current situation, we really have entered the Son of Heaven Game..."

"Once you enter the Son of Heaven Game, it's impossible to survive!!"

Everyone began talking over one another, but Yin Ge did not want to waste time.

"How do we get out?" Yin Ge asked the best man. "What do you know? Tell us, quickly!"

At that, hope lit up in everyone's eyes, and they looked at the best man again.

But the best man seemed to think of something. Terror filled his handsome face. "It's impossible. We can't get out. We're all going to die. We're all going to die..."

Seeing this, Yin Ge grew anxious. She immediately stepped forward and slapped the best man across the face.

The best man was stunned. The others froze too and looked over.

Yin Ge said, "Then say it! How exactly do we get out? Stop babbling!"

The best man stammered, "I-I watched so many videos... It seems only one person ever survived."

"He seemed to enter the body of a murderer and experienced everything the murderer had experienced. Then, for some inexplicable reason, he survived..."

Only one person had survived?

And that person had eventually committed suicide?

Everyone present widened their eyes, terror filling them.

She only wanted to live.

"The murderer had a wife. That wife was dismembered by the murderer and fed to pigs, but after the survivor entered the murderer's body, he concealed it and kept anyone else from finding out."

At last, Yin Ge was certain. They really had entered the Son of Heaven Game and were experiencing the same thing as that group of survivors.

After entering the game, that survivor had become the murderer and learned everything the murderer had done over those few days.

And now, Yin Ge had entered the bridesmaid's body and knew everything the bridesmaid had done that day.

In other words, they had to help the bride find the person who had killed her.

If they found him, they could survive.

If they failed, the killer would survive, and everyone else would die!
