The groom, the groom's younger sister, and the best man arrived.
This was not part of Yin Ge's plan. What she had originally wanted most was to exchange Godhead information with the others as quickly as possible and identify the Killer.
But now, Yin Ge could not move freely and could only follow the bridesmaid through everything that had happened on December 7th.
Of course, that was not necessarily a bad thing.
Yin Ge recalled what everyone had discussed earlier. In summary, there were only two ways to find clues about the Killer.
First, Godhead.
Second, events.
Although her body was currently under someone else's control and she could not exchange Godhead information with the others for the time being, she could observe what the bridesmaid experienced to gather information and search for clues.
With that in mind, Yin Ge focused intently and began observing the bridesmaid's actions, as well as everyone else's.
Bride attached great importance to the groom and the others' arrival. Early in the morning, she had pulled the bridesmaid along to buy groceries and cook.
What puzzled Yin Ge was that throughout the process, Bride's father neither asked nor cared about anything. He was extremely distant, as though the person about to get married was not his own daughter.
Bride's mother and younger brother, on the other hand, were very close to Bride and warmly welcomed the groom at the dinner table.
Could there be a conflict between Bride and her father?
Perhaps Bride's father was suspicious.
Yin Ge silently noted this detail down.
After lunch, Bride's father and mother took the child into their room for a nap. The other young people stayed behind to discuss the wedding arrangements in detail.
Just as the conversation was getting lively, Bride's parents' bedroom door opened a crack.
The child's head poked out, curiously looking at the people outside.
The groom smiled and beckoned to the child. The child immediately ran to his side and pitifully tugged at his arm.
"Brother-in-law, I want to play games more."
The groom immediately took out his phone. After looking at it, he said somewhat helplessly, "You've been playing all morning already. My phone is out of battery."
"Mine is out of battery too." The best man raised his phone. "You little brat, fine, you used your brother-in-law's phone to play games, but why were you watching videos on my phone while playing?"
"You're way too addicted to your phone. Your parents are right not to buy you one!"
"Hmph!" The child pouted angrily.
Bride rubbed the child's head, then deftly took the groom's and best man's phones. "I'll go charge them for you."
The child grabbed Bride's sheer hem. "Sis, I want to play!"
Unable to refuse the child, Bride handed over her own phone, not forgetting to remind him,
"Don't play for too long. It's bad for your eyes. If Dad catches you playing games again later, he'll scold me again."
The child nodded vigorously, then took Bride's phone and began playing.
Before long, Bride went into the bathroom.
Taking this opportunity, Yin Ge began carefully studying the others.
The groom was refined and gentle, speaking in a soft voice.
The groom's younger sister was lively and cheerful, though somewhat spoiled.
The best man loved to brag and often flirted with the bridesmaid.
Clearly, these people's personalities were vastly different from those of the neighbors Yin Ge had encountered before.
Soon, evening arrived, and Bride's mother was cooking in the kitchen.
Bride was assigning rooms to everyone.
Since they would be going out tomorrow to buy wedding supplies, and the groom's home was rather far away, traveling back and forth would be too troublesome. So everyone planned to stay at Bride's home for the night.
Fortunately, Bride's home was spacious enough to accommodate them all.
The groom's younger sister pointed at the room where the bridesmaid was staying. "Come on, sis-in-law, I want to stay in this room. The Wi-Fi signal is strong here."
She was close with Bride. As she spoke, she linked arms with her and pouted coquettishly.
"No!" Bride said quickly. "That room is a mess. How could I let you stay there? I've already cleaned up another room for you. Come on."
As she spoke, Bride took the groom's younger sister's hand and tried to lead her away.
"Hmph!" The groom's younger sister snorted and remained where she was. "Sis-in-law, why are you treating an outsider better than me?"
"I don't care. Haven't I stayed here every time I've visited? I'm used to it."
The bridesmaid crossed her arms. "I've already stayed in this room for days, and I'm used to it too. You don't mind me, but I mind you. I'm not moving."
Yin Ge caught a hint of gunpowder in their exchange.
Logically speaking, even if they were not close, they should at least have maintained a cordial relationship on the surface.
Still, the groom's younger sister's words were indeed unpleasant.
Just as Bride was about to persuade the groom's younger sister again, the groom stepped forward. In a stern tone, he said to his sister, "Enough. Isn't a room just a room? Come on, I'll show you the new one."
With that, the groom pulled his sister away.
Seeing this, Bride glanced at the bridesmaid before following them.
It was only a minor incident, and the bridesmaid did not seem to take it to heart, but Yin Ge found it strange.
Before she could figure out why, everyone had already been assigned a room.
Bride went into the kitchen to help, while everyone else gathered around the sofa and chatted.
The child, who had spent the entire afternoon playing games, held up the phone and tugged on the groom's sleeve. "Brother-in-law, this game is broken! I can't beat it! Help me play for a bit first. I need to pee, I can't hold it anymore!"
The child did not have time to say more and hurried toward the bathroom.
The groom accepted the phone with a smile. "You little dummy, I'll help you."
Seeing this, Yin Ge could not help confirming something else.
At the very least, there had been no conflict between the groom and Bride.
Before finding the groom's motive, the greatest suspicion was currently on the others.
After all, if the groom wanted to kill Bride, why wait until their wedding day? Why get married at all?
Wouldn't that ruin his own life?
Of course, plenty of people killed their wives after getting married, so Yin Ge did not rule him out completely.
At that moment, however, a notification suddenly sounded.
Everyone continued doing what they had been doing, including the bridesmaid.
But Yin Ge still strained to look over through the corner of the bridesmaid's eye, unwilling to miss any detail.
The sound came from the phone in the groom's hand.
It was Bride's phone.
The groom, who had been pleasant only moments ago, instantly changed expression the moment he saw the message.
His brows lowered and drew together, his lips pressed tightly shut. It was the expression of someone in a furious rage!
And when his younger sister, sitting beside him, saw the message, her eyes widened and her mouth fell slightly open. It was the expression of shock.
The next moment, the groom abruptly rose from the sofa, took the phone into the kitchen, and called Bride into a room in a suppressed voice.
Bang!
The door slammed shut.
Before long, fierce arguing and Bride's crying could be heard from inside.
Everyone was frightened and stared at the room in unison.
The child's lips trembled, and tears fell as well. "Waaah, Brother-in-law stole my phone! Brother-in-law is so shameless!"
Bride's mother hurriedly soothed the child in a low voice.
Seeing that something was wrong, the bridesmaid quickly turned to the groom's younger sister and asked, "What's going on?"
The groom's younger sister's lips quivered. "Just now... just now, someone sent my sister-in-law a message!"
Yin Ge's heart tightened. She felt that message was critically important.
But just as the groom's younger sister was about to speak, all the lights in the living room suddenly went out at once.
That familiar sensation... Yin Ge's pupils contracted slightly.
The next moment, the lights came back on.
Yin Ge immediately looked at the clock. The hour hand pointed exactly at the number "6."
It was six in the evening.
She let out a slight breath of relief and moved her fingers. Sure enough, her fingers moved under her control.
Yin Ge sharply summarized the pattern concerning control over her body.
At nine in the morning, she could not control her body.
At six in the evening, she could control her body herself.
Bang!
Before anyone else could react, the door to Bride's room was flung open, and the groom rushed out with terror written across his face.
He gasped for breath, fine beads of sweat covering his forehead.
But everyone was staring fixedly at Bride's room, their attention nowhere near him.
Fortunately, Bride did not rush out of the room.
Just like yesterday, once Yin Ge and the others regained control of their bodies, Bride vanished, leaving only the seven of them in the room.
Bride's mother and the groom's younger sister collapsed onto the sofa one after another, their bodies trembling uncontrollably.
The child edged closer to Yin Ge's side and began crying.
Yin Ge suppressed the tension and fear in her heart. Her gaze fixed sharply on the groom.
"What did you see on the phone just now!?"
